Elena was a great instructor for myself and my partner during our first oil painting experience. Elena’s was excellent in her approach, she had a great balance of guidance while letting us take ownership of our art. Before the class we were not sure if we’d be able to paint something we’d like but we left extremely happy with the result of our pieces. We also feel we have a great basic foundation to grow from. We would love to take another class with Elena!
My favorite painting I've ever done - I love looking at it! Elena is very kind, helpful, and talented. She taught me the importance of certain lines for detail and perspective, to paint objects closer to the foreground thicker, and how different objects should have different textures. Elena would help me paint when I felt stuck or overwhelmed. I had access to plenty of paints, ample brushes and palette knives, and the choice between painting on paper vs canvas. I'll definitely be back
