Incredible knowledge and experience. World Class Tour!
Wow! This was a once in a lifetime experience. From the guide to the logistics of the trip, this was my all time favorite tour I have experienced in Juneau. Kevin Hood, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge. His energy was calming and gracious. We had the opportunity to watch the bears very closely and it was incredible. The food they provided for lunch was delicious and Wild Coast adapted to my dietary requirements as a vegan. All the gear we used was brand new with very good binoculars. Top notch guide company!

Worth every penny!
SO WORTH IT!
It was absolutely amazing! At first the price made us think twice, but it was so worth it! First you can enjoy a scenic flight, (on witch we even saw whales from high up), then you enjoy these animals and after that they got you covered with a delicious lunch. Matt the guide definitely knows what he’s talking about and was super friendly and funny. You can feel that they deeply care about the wellbeing of the bears.
Plus it is a beatyfull spot for fotos, and an unreal experience to see these wonderfull animals in their natural habitat.
No overcrouded mass tourism, just a hand full of people enjoying wild bears up close.
Simply amazing

Outstanding bear visit
We headed off in the float plane at the local airport. We landed near Pack Creek and walked onto a rocky shore. Here our guide and the local ranger set bout the explicit rules for our visit. It was then off to the hide , it turned out to be two logs overlooking a meadow and creek. What happened next was a highlight of our visit to Alaska. A parade of brown bears occurred for the next 2.5 hours. the intermit interaction was amazing. We saw a mother and 2 babies, a bear chase where the mum chase the juvenile away. In the distance were more bears. All the time our guide made sure we played by the rules to ensure we were able to enjoy the display.

Beers and Bears - Experience of a Lifetime - Five days in the making
The weather in Juneau in August can be a bit of a mixed bag. Luckily for us we were staying five days so Peter and guide Matt went all out to make sure we got to Pack Creek to see the bears in the wild. Awesome encounter with two juveniles and a big Moma Beer. Arrived Juneau on Day 1 in the rain. Day 2 cancelled due to weather so we checked out the Museum. Day 3 we did the brewery tour. Lots of beers to see and taste - thanks Wild Coast and Katie B. A great addition to your Juneau business and great company. Day 4 - awesome day but fogged in so we delayed our flights and finally cracked it on Day 5 with a special early morning tour for the two of us. Travelling on a plane with our own name on the side was a nice touch. thanks Ward Airlines.

Bears and so much more.
I can't add much to the other reviews here. My husband and I had a similarly wonderful bear viewing trip. It was the last day of the spring viewing until later in the summer, and we saw 2 bears from the air, and 2 on the beach. We watched one digging for clams for ages. Matt was terrific - kind, friendly, very knowledgeable and passionate about the wilderness. The weather was warm and sunny, the flight was amazing, and our every need was taken care of. A memorable trip that was well worthwhile.

Bears or no bears, its worth the trip!
I'll start by saying that Matt was a great guide on this trip. His knowledge of the bears, Admiralty Island, the flora of Alaska, and the history of the island made this trip more than just a chance to see bears. he really taught us about the ecology of the island and Alaska and why we need these wild places. While we didn't see bears on this trip (I have seen them here in the past), the trip was still very worthwhile. The scenery viewed on the plane ride over and back is remarkable. I'd highly recommend this opportunity to spend time in a remote Alaskan wilderness.
Operator response
Thanks Peter! We're glad you enjoyed your trip, even though it was a rare one that didn't see any bears. We hope to see you back again!

If you do one thing in Alaska, do this!
This is the best thing to do in Alaska. Wild coast provides everything you need! Boots, waterproof pants, binoculars and a yummy lunch! Matt is so respectful of the wilderness and the bears, which is so important to me as an animal rights person. I won't go to zoos or anything that pretends to be a sanctuary. Matt was a National Parks Ranger, so he knows and cares about it! It's beautiful viewing and bear watching, along with deer and bald eagles! The plane ride is stellar viewing too! I just got back and I already want to go again.
Operator response
We're so glad you enjoyed your trip to Pack Creek! Matt is amazing and his experience as a Wilderness Ranger there definitely brings a lot to his trips. Thank you for sharing, come back anytime!
