Maria showed us everything, very nice
A nice and interesting experience despite the large group. Easy booking via the company's own website. Nice German-speaking employee. The tasting of the various products was well organized. During the subsequent shopping, other products could also be tasted. An employee was always nearby to answer questions. Very nice and friendly! The products are of excellent quality
We had a great visit of the property with our amazing tour guide Alla. The olive oil tasting is really an experience you shouldn’t miss if you’re in the area! We’ll be back to buy more products!
We booked the free olive oil tour in German in advance. Our guide spoke good German and the tour lasted about 30 minutes, where the production of olive oil was explained and the machines there were shown. Features that make a good and quality olive oil were also explained. Afterward, one was allowed to taste olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, alcohol, and cosmetic products. Afterward, there was also the opportunity to buy these products, but the prices there are not cheaper than elsewhere. All in all, a good experience.
Interesting visit with a local guide who spoke French well.
Discover local product perfect visit in French by Amalia! Unannounced discovery of beautiful local produce
It is our first visit to Crete and we decided that we should do an olive oil tour and learn how olives are harvested, processed and made into olive oil, including learning about the different types of olive oil and what makes one type better or different than another. Our tour was guided by Alina, a lovely sociable and knowledgeable young Lady. The Vassilakis Estate is a modern well kept facility and absolutely worth a visit. We purchased some goodies for home and to use with our new found knowledge. Thank you for a great experience.
What a wonderful experience and if you love your food and historical experience then this is very worth while your time . Our guide Maria is so knowledgeable and very friendly. Amazing olive oils and foods
To be absolutely honest, we did not go on any other 'olive oil' tours, but this one was fantastic! We just turned up and were asked if you would like a tour - gratis! Yes please - and we were not disappointed!! A great tour, by our charming tour guide Alina, which included the history & the family, the process, the facilities and culminating in a tasting of the produce. Clever marketing or just a justifiable confidence in the products? We look forward to enjoying our purchases when we return home!! Highly recommended stop to all those visiting the area.
Super nice, informative, awful nice friendly people. Neat business. Nice little groups. There were only four of us and had Alina as tour guide. Nice sweet clear enthusiastic guide Very tasty products. I would take everything with me but yes..... Luckily they also have a sales outlet in the Netherlands
