Overlook Waikiki and East side of Oahu
Waimea Bay is located in Haleiwa on the North Shore of O'ahu in the Hawaiian Islands at the mouth of the Waimea River. Waimea Valley extends behind Waimea Bay. Waimea means "reddish water" in Hawaiian.
North Shore is a large stretch of sand and beach. The name North Shore is spoken in the same sentence as surfing. To get there? Drive thru Wahiawa. Once over the quaint bridge you enter a different Oahu. The scattering pineapple fields, coffee orchards, red volcanic dirt and as you drive on to take in the sky as it opens up into the Pacific Ocean. The ocean awaits you with the suggestion of sea mist from pounding waves.
The Pali Lookout is a site of deep historical significance. Named “Pali” meaning "cliff" in Hawaiian, the Pali Lookout is the site of the Battle of Nuuanu, where in 1795 King Kamehameha I won the struggle that finally united Oahu under his rule. This fierce battle claimed hundreds of soldiers’ lives, many of which were forced off of the Pali’s sheer cliffs. Note that the Pali Lookout is also known for its strong and howling winds. You’ll understand why the Nuuanu Pali Lookout is one of Oahu’s best scenic points when you feel the wind push up against you, hear the winds whistle through the mountains and see the breathtaking views of Oahu’s lush Windward Coast.
Mokoliʻi Island
Shark's Cove is a lava-rock beach on the North Shore of Oahu and is part of Pupukea Beach Park. It is unique not only because of its spectacular underwater rock formations, but also because of its diverse marine life. Tropical colorful fish and sea turtles are the cove's constant inhabitants.
Tropical Farms Macadamia Nuts is set in the shadow of the mountains of the Koolau Range and is a stop on many circle-island tours. It’s a great place to enjoy a Hawaiian treat and shop for gifts and souvenirs.
Ehukai Beach Park (view panorama) on Oahu's North Shore is a daredevil's dream, with waves reaching heights of over 30 feet (9 m) during the winter months (November to February).It's no wonder the beach is one of the most famous surf spots in the world - and as you might expect, also one of the most dangerous.

Lāʻie Point State Wayside consists of two separate parcels on either side of a dead-end residential street, with no facilities and extremely limited parking. Please respect the neighbors by enjoying this small scenic lookout without blocking driveways or other vehicles. The adjacent undeveloped point is privately owned, please respect.

December 2024. The tour was excellent! We did a private family island tour. We were picked up at our hotel in a clean suburban suv. Perfect size vehicle for my family of 5. Our tour guide was excellent! We spent the day stopping at local sites and learning the history of Hawaii. Most notable was the Dole Pineapple Plantation, China man’s hat, lunch at the food trucks in Haleiwa Town, and a stop for Malasadas. I can’t say enough good things about this experience!
Our full tour of O'ahu with Mat was definitely one of the best experiences we have ever had. We would recommend this to everyone. Our guide Mat is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating to every need and question. We learned so much about the island and its residents and saw so much of the island in one day. An incredible day and so much fun with Mat at the wheel!
We enjoyed the beautiful island of Oahu and the spirit of Aloha with a local guide and learned the past and present history of Hawaii. We enjoyed delicious local food, entertainment, many laughs and a very fun day. Matt, our guide was wonderful, we were fortunate to be the only two on the trip with him, we learned a great deal about his culture and were able to ask many questions and topics. Wonderful Island Round Trip in a small group of 4 people with the very skilled guide Justin who had a high level knowledge of the Island the history and the culture. Very exiting to learn about this beautiful island Oahu and to see the many awesome spots.
I 100% recommend Secret Hawai’i tours for your visit to Oahu. My husband and I did the Full Circle Tour with Justin and it felt more like being shown the island with a local friend more than a touristy van tour through the island. First, schedule, pick up and all logistics were handled so professionally and smoothly. We were picked up from our hotel on time, and the van was spacious, clean, comfortable and air conditioned. Justin gave us a welcoming introduction to himself and the tour, and he asked us about what we wanted to see. Second, the tour was a wonderful mix of hitting up famously beautiful spots and local places we never would have thought to go without Justin. Justin was an absolute pleasure and joy with whom to spend the day. He has such a fun personality and is also a treasure trove of both historical knowledge and local fun facts. We were both educated and entertained constantly. He also graciously took pictures of us at every stop! He went out of his way to share a slice of his home with us, and it will stick with us forever. In addition to spending a memorable day exploring the island, Justin also brought us to so many DELICIOUS food spots that locals go to, and gave us so many recommendations for the rest of our trip! Our tour guide Ben Elliot picked us up promptly at 9 AM. He is a native Hawaiian and was friends with just about every other ranger and tour guide that we encountered throughout the day. Ben is a really nice guy who has a large community of friends on the island and definitely knew some insider tips of places to visit and special foods to try (be sure to try the cream-filled malasadas from Leonards). We got to know a lot more about the island of Oahu and the Hawaiian way of life by spending the day with him. All in all it was a wonderful way to spend the day on Oahu.

We did NOT have the excursion we booked. The driver was a fill in. He was trying his best however there were 9 in the group. Seems that there were at least 3 different itineraries combined for one tour. We did not see the majority of what was on our printed tour. The driver even stated that it was not legal or permitted to stop at a couple of them that was on our itinerary. Very disappointed as we have had this planned awhile. I sent messages about the experience and of course no response. I would NOT recommend this to anyone

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Aaron. We were pleasantly surprised that it was just the two of us & the vehicle was very comfortable for the 6 hour tour. Aaron was extremely pleasant, personable & knowledgable. He was flexible & open to any suggestions of sights we might like to see. Since it was our 1st tour of the Island, we let him choose the highlights. Aaron made the trip memorable & we'd highly recommend this tour. The 6 hours flew by & we could have easily gone for longer.
