This is the second time I take a tour with Greg while in NYC. He does a terrific job combining history and the past with the vibrant city of today. The LGBTQ tour gives insight into the challenges faced by gay people through time and how laws made their lives difficult. Pace of the tour was good, and Greg’s enthusiastic personality makes it all the more engaging. Highly recommend any of his tours!
Hi, was thrilled walking with you again this time with Greenwich Village's LGBTQ history. So thrilled you enjoyed the food and history and hope to see you soon again.
I found Greg through trip advisor when I was looking for things to do in west village/greenwich village before a show at the village vanguard. We went on the NYC Greenwich Village LGBTQIA+ History and Food Tour. I wanted my husband to have some more physical content on queer history in NYC and see some locations IRL. Greg was an ebullient tour guide and a real NYC character. His guidance totally added to the experience and made it feel even more authentic. The food along the way were also tasty bites, with my personal favorite being Van Leeuwen ice cream! Greg was super open to having conversation and answering our many questions. We have lived in the NYC area since 2014 and I even learned some new things about the history of the village area. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon in NYC and Greg took great care of us. Highly recommended! 💖🙏🏻🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Alden, It was a delight to share the story history of the Stonewall and surrounding neighborhood accompanied with your yummy bites. Thank you for walking with me the five star review and high recommendation. happy summers
The LGBTQ+ aspect of the tour was surface-level- often preaching to the choir- though we did see some iconic queer sights and spaces. As for the food…it totally lacked. In the provided picture, 3 of the dishes are from the same spot. Very little was said about the eateries or the bites themselves. By the end, our appetites were far from satisfied. A few days later, we enjoyed a much more comprehensive food tour in the form of Williamsburg Bites.
How unfortunate you did not enjoy your tour! A food tour is not an entire meal. more samples were even provided celebrating your wedding. I spoke about the history of the eateries as well as the food. I share history and facts and do not preach. On your return please contact me for a discount on any of my other food tours with over 1,400 five star ratings between TripAdvisor and GOOGLE combined. Thank you for your valued feedback.
Amazing tour guide and trip! Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting the NYC area! I was able to learn a lot and visit cool places in a perfect amount of time.
Hi Thank you for touring with me on this most important history tour. Your five star review is most appreciated thank you
This tour was amazing and I highly recommend to anyone! Greg was such a great tour guide and he is a great storyteller! Make sure you check out any of his tours while in NYC
Hi Penelope Thank you for the five star review and high recommendation. Happy summer, GM
Greg was absolutely engaging! He was very knowledgeable on all the history and provided information on everything we saw or talked about. 10/10 would go again!!!!
Hi Thank you for the five stars and high recommendation. Thrilled you enjoyed yourself thoroughly. GM
Had the very best time with the very best tour guide! Could not recommend this tour (or any tour of Greg's) more! Time well spent
Hi Faith Love the title of your review. Thanks so much for the five stars and being such a fun and inquisitive tourist hope to see you again on another tour and happy October
We joined Greg on the LGBTQ+ History of Greenwich Village Tour with Food and it was amazing! Greg's knowledge, generosity of spirit, and warm hospitality made it a day to remember. He also did an incredible job of getting to know us and adapting his talk to meet the interests of my adolescent. We can't wait to plan our next tour.
Hi Thanks for the 5 stars and recommendation. I loved walking with you and your teen and sharing this tour's important history and message and of course, the food! Look forward to touring with you again and hopefully soon. Happy Summer!
A lovely day with beautiful weather strolling in Greenwich Village with Greg learning about LGBTQ history in the area and snacking along the way. Thank you Greg.
Hi Gabrielle Thanks for the great review and recommendation. As a gay man I am love passionately sharing the stories of the Queer civil rights struggles in Greenwich Village, and not just the Stonewall Inn. HAPPY ALMOST PRIDE MONTH! Greg
Greg is a wealth of knowledge. He took us on a tour by ourselves, yes that's right, he didn't cancel the tour because he only had one booking. For me this tour was far more about learning about the oppression of the lgbtqia+ community than it was about the food. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and we would definitely recommend it.
Hi, thanks for the five star review and great recommendation I'm always thrilled to share the civil rights history of the LGBTQ I a plus community in Greenwich Village. Enjoy the Big Apple! Greg
