Welcome, Greenlander welcomes you on the most adventurous Northern Lights chase in the Northern Norway. You will be guided by a pro photographer (see proof from our Instagram or Facebook page,) who will safely take you around the perimeter on a 4x4 modified Mercedes Benz minivan. The tour consists central pickup, warm meal, hot drinks, tripods, thermal suit, boots, campfire(if conditions allow,) Aurora portraits and so much more. Greenlander has a reputation of not giving up and therefore having one of the highest success rates in the business, around 95%-98% chance of catching the elusive Northern Lights. Please consider, the weather can be harsh and sometimes we have to chase for hours, before we can even see first stars. This tour might not suit for elder, obese and unfit participants, as sometimes we hike in a snow and our minivan is rather compact compared to bigger buses used by bigger companies. We had an incredible tour with Greenlander and I highly recommend them!! Our guide, Hans, was expert in finding clear skies. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and had great stories to tell. We saw the northern lights dancing (an expansion) and it was magical. We will remember this night for a long time!
Markus is a very nice guy, very responsive since the beggining, he did not measure efforts to delivery the best experience for us to see the lights. His communications skills made our experience amazing. If you are looking for someone to experience the lights for the first time, this is the place to go. I'm pretty sure Greenlander will provide you the best experience in Tromso. If some day I return to Tromso definitely will repeat the experience with them.
We were a party of 3, one couple and a single person. The experience overall was amazing. Our driver, Markus, showed up exactly on time, gave us a brief orientation, and started off. In our case we drove only about an hour to the place he'd chosen which he said was one of the places that was predicted to clear up, as it'd been a cloudy day. We ended up on a little area near the shore and had some great aurora activity even with a full moon. We never felt rushed to leave, and the activity lasted almost 3 hours. We had a fire, warm drinks, and even sausage with a potato wrap, toasted over the fire. I would definitely choose Greenlander again if I wanted to come back.
We really enjoyed our Northern Lights chase with Markus! The conditions were definitely not great (cloudy, full moon, low Kp), so we were a bit skeptical. However, we ended up setting up camp about 90 minutes from Tromsø, and we were rewarded with a beautiful display in the sky! Markus has ~13 years of experience with Northern Lights chase tours and was clearly knowledgeable and passionate. We enjoyed sausages (including vegetarian ones!), cookies, marshmallows, and warm drinks around the fire. The van was comfortable for a full group plus guide (9 people), and logistics were made very simple for us. Highly recommend!!!
Very professional outfit, our guide went to great length to find a spot were the Aurora could be seen. We drove all the way to Finland, but you can't force nature. We had a great campfire set up, with sausages, tea and hot cocoa. Everybody who requested it, got provided with thermal suits and tripods. Our guide, Arbo, was knowledgeable about everything Aurora and knew all the places to get a good viewing. Highly recommended
We went on two trips with them. On 22nd Sep and again on 24th Sep. On the first day it was raining incessantly and wouldn't stop. But, our guide Kevin just wouldnt give up. At 1 am he tracked an opening in the skies on his phone and sped us there - to the most amazing spectacle. Amazing sightings on 24 the as well. Greenalder team lead by Markus are simply superb, responsive and always attentive to all your needs. Would love to do this again with them if we are inTromso ever agaon

What a memorable first day in Norway. Arbo was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Luck was with us and we saw the Northern Lights!!! The evening was joyful and we concluded with hot dogs, tea, and cookies by a campfire, thoughtfully prepared by Arbo!!! Highly recommended. The small group size was perfect and he drove us back to our hotel at the end of the night. Thank you! We will never forget it!
Excellent services offered by Greenlander. Right from the time we started planning our trip to Tromso. Initially communicated with Markus, who provided the information needed. Later, during the trip, it was Kevin, our guide, who is very patient, knoweledgeable and more enthusiastic, shall I say, than the tourists! Amazing person who took all the pains to navigate and beat the unpredictable weather to find a sweet spot to observe Aurora Borealis as it unfolded right in front of our eyes. A trully amazing sight. It is a once in life experience for people not from this part of planet, a worthwhile adventure... Greelander is a definite YES for those seeking small group experience. They provide outer thermal clothing and winter shoes, refreshments and beverages with a camp fire. Most importantly, the guides, like Kevin, in our case, are truly outstanding. They make the difference.
Markus was amazing! He is so passionate about the lights and knows so much about them. I can’t wait to do another tour!
