Itinerary
Depart at 7:15 am from our agency in central Paris, located just a short walk from the Louvre. Meet your driver-guide and settle into a comfortable air-conditioned minivan for your full-day journey to Normandy. As you leave Paris behind, enjoy the changing landscapes of the French countryside while your guide introduces the historical context of D-Day and Operation Overlord.
Continue to Omaha Beach, one of the most famous and tragic landing sites of June 6, 1944. Known for the heavy losses suffered by Allied forces, this stretch of coastline played a decisive role in the success of Operation Overlord. Your guide will explain the challenges faced by the soldiers as they landed under intense enemy fire, as well as the strategic importance of this sector. Today, Omaha Beach is a peaceful and moving place, offering time for reflection and remembrance.
Visit the Normandy American Cemetery, overlooking Omaha Beach. This solemn and beautifully maintained site is the final resting place of thousands of American soldiers who gave their lives during the liberation of Europe. Walk among the white crosses and Stars of David, visit the memorial, and take a moment to reflect on the scale of the sacrifice. Depending on timing, you may also visit the modern visitor center, which features exhibitions, films, photographs, and personal stories that bring the events of D-Day to life.
Pass through Arromanches-les-Bains, a coastal town closely linked to the success of the Allied invasion. Arromanches is famous for the remains of the Mulberry artificial harbor, an extraordinary engineering achievement created to support the landing forces after D-Day. These floating harbor structures allowed troops, vehicles, and supplies to be brought ashore, playing a crucial role in the Allied advance across Normandy.
Your next stop is Pointe du Hoc, a strategic German fortification assaulted by U.S. Rangers on D-Day. Walk among the preserved bunkers, artillery positions, and deep bomb craters that still mark the landscape today. Overlooking the English Channel, this dramatic clifftop site offers impressive views and stands as a powerful tribute to the bravery of the soldiers who fought here during one of the most daring operations of June 6, 1944.
Return to Paris in the evening after a full and meaningful day in Normandy. This small-group day trip offers a powerful combination of history, remembrance, and guided discovery, ideal for travelers wishing to better understand the events of D-Day and the sacrifices made during the liberation of France.

What a great experience, our tour guide JB was outstanding and very knowledgeable on all aspects of the history. He even made time to visit one site not on the tour itself for my son which made his day. Would highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Paris looking for accompanied tours.
Everything was well organized and timed. The group was small, which allowed everyone to get to know each other and helped create a friendly atmosphere. Our guide Serge also had a lot to do with it. He was very pleasant and all his explanations and anecdotes were very clear and fascinating. He is also a very good driver. I found that we did the essentials, which is already great for one day, even if I would have loved to spend maybe 15-20 minutes more in Bayeux and Arromanches. A big thank you to Serge for this excellent tour!

Very interesting tour. However, the guide did not have an audio system in the van. Passengers in the rear had difficulty hearing.
Best trip ever. Our tour guide, Amine, was very knowledgeable and also professional. He made the trip very interesting despite the long drive to and from Normandy. The site was beautifully done and very touching. The museum was amazing with lots of history to take on. Overall, well worth it. We loved it.
Thank you once again for your amazing feedback — we’re truly honored that you chose to join us on several of our tours! We’re especially touched by your words about the Normandy D-Day tour. Amine is passionate about sharing this powerful chapter of history, and he’ll be grateful for your kind recognition. We’d be delighted to see you again on another journey — perhaps to Reims for Champagne tasting or a relaxing sunset cruise on the Seine. Warm regards, Alice from France Tourisme
An historical must see one day trip with minivan from Paris to Normandie and some of the many viewpoints from D-day such as landing beaches Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach as well as the American Cemetery. Perhaps we where not that lucky with the weather during this day, but it was very authentic. Our guide was very engaged in his tripmembers, very skilled in the history of the visited landmarks. The buss trip itself took like 4 hours driving one way, but it felt it ended in a glimse with our driver always making sure we where all ok. Stronly recommend this tour if you are in Paris and want to spend one day at some great landmarks in Normandie
Dear Customer’s Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted that, even with less-than-perfect weather, you found the Normandy tour to be such a meaningful and authentic experience. It’s wonderful to hear that your guide's passion and knowledge made the day so enriching, and that the journey felt smooth and cared for thanks to your attentive driver. We’d love to welcome you again soon — perhaps for a Loire Valley castles tour or a peaceful Seine dinner cruise to continue your journey through France’s rich history and beauty. See you next time! It’s very important to be on time, especially if you’re going on a long all day trip. And should there be last minute changes in your trip itinerary, you will need to be flexible.
Hello Leslie, Thank you for your message. We fully recognize the importance of punctuality, especially during a long day with an excursion. Please accept our sincere apologies if any delays or last-minute changes have caused inconvenience. Rest assured that we are doing everything we can to adhere to the planned schedule and to remain as flexible as possible in the face of unforeseen circumstances. Have a nice day. Alice from France Tourisme
I love the places we saw and learned a lot by reading. The tour guide was basically a driver and did not provide us with much historical information. When we stopped for lunch, many of the restaurants were closed. I also wonder why he could not drop us off near our hotel since it was on the route back. We can all save money.
