Supervised by the legendary Kabuki musician Denjiro Tanaka , who also performed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. The show expresses Japan’s cultural icons—ninja, oiran courtesans, and taiko drumming—using the evolving performance techniques of Kabuki, passed down from the Edo period to the present. A cast of top-tier performers immerses audiences in a unique world through non-verbal expression that transcends language barriers, offering new adventures and surprises on your journey. Located in the heart of Shinjuku, the all-weather venue features an 80-minute performance, making it an ideal addition to your Shinjuku sightseeing plans.

I REALLY wanted to like this experience. My family was on a high from an elite sumo show the night before and we wanted to do another show during our Tokyo trip. This was highly rated so it seemed like an easy decision. It was kind of boring pretty quickly. It’s billed as an 80 minute show but it’s more like 50 minutes and then some audience participation parts. In that main 50 minute show, there isn’t any fighting for the first 38 minutes. It’s just music and filler. Once they start fighting, it’s very unrealistic. They don’t clang swords or anything. They explain that it’s against kabuki tradition to have the prop swords touch, but it makes for a bad show. I found out later in the night that my wife didn’t like it either. My kids said it had too much music. Beers were $10 which is higher than most of Tokyo. The people were really nice, and I hope they do well, but we just didn’t enjoy it. I wouldn’t do it again or recommend it.

Trust me I so wanted to like this show. It was NOTHING like the advertising you see on any of the commercial at all. The first half of the show was mediocre at best, the guys playing the drums were good. The second half was the MC making jokes and having pic sessions. I wanted this to end so badly or leave without embarrassing them. Please heed my warning to avoid at all cost. I know it was a tourist trap but tbh watching the advertisement of the show it looked very good. Totally deceiving and lame….NiiiinnnnnnJaaaaaaa! But if your want to waste your time and money don’t say I don’t warn you. I honestly wanted to ask for my money back.

Great escape from the heat, the 13year old was a little cynical but we enjoyed it all the same. Great stage show and impressive drumming

It’s very much like a corny Vegas show. Lots of theatrics. Drummers were the best part. They d9 sell these little cheese and sausage snacks that were yum!
