We took the Mexico City night double-decker bus tour on our first day, and overall it was a decent, good-value way to get an introduction to the city. It was worth the price, and the ride lasted about 60 minutes. The open upper deck is the main attraction, offering a fun way to see the city at night. One important caution: avoid this tour if rain is expected. Because the upper deck is open to the elements, rain sends passengers downstairs, where there are only a limited number of seats. We came down early and were fortunate to get seats, but others who waited had to stand indoors or wait outside in the rain. We went in August, and the night air became a little cool, so bringing a jacket is a good idea. In clear, dry weather, this would be a wonderful experience and an easy recommendation; just be mindful of the forecast and avoid arriving late if you want the best chance of getting a seat.
If you're there early you'll possibly be sat on an earlier time slot. It wasn't an issue for us but just a heads up. The tour said 45-1hr but it lasted about 2 hours for us as it was on a very crowded Friday night. Again not a bad thing because we enjoyed it and it didn't feel rushed. We were able to really see all the sites and took plenty of pictures of the CDMX nightlife. We saw all the major sites like the Angel de la independencia, Bella artes, a rock band playing outside, street vendors selling merchandise and food/drinks around the city, impromptu Cumbia dancers on the side of the road. Very very cool experience. Check the weather as it does rain often this time of year but we lucked out and the rain was over with. They do have sellers nearby selling rain ponchos for a good price.
It is an interesting experience, but on this occasion, it was raining and we had to go down to the lower level of the bus, which made it difficult to see panoramicly; I think they should be guided more by the weather forecast, as it was not pleasant to be in the rain.
I think it is a very good option to get to know the city in a different way. You can enjoy it alone, with family, or with friends, and it is a pleasant experience to tour the center at night. As a point for improvement, the seats were wet and dirty due to the rain. I understand that it could have been something unforeseen, but after rain it would be important to check and dry the seats before passengers board. There were also some trees during the tour that passed very close to the passengers. At one point I felt like one almost took my head off. Perhaps it would be good to warn or take some precaution at those points. Aside from these details, everything was very good and I enjoyed the tour a lot.
Everything was good just the weather did not help. It started to rain . But everything was good.
Thank you for your words. We're glad you enjoyed the tour overall. Unfortunately, the weather is beyond our control, but we're happy the experience was still a positive one for you. We hope to welcome you back on a sunnier day!
Guide was not provided as was promised. , and bus didn’t stop at all the promised locations. They just drove around in circles with no guide or pointing out highlights.
We're sorry to hear your experience didn't meet expectations, and we appreciate you sharing this feedback. Regarding the guide: please note that our audio guide is available in multiple languages via headphones, which our staff can provide on board. Just ask a team member, and they'll get you set up. As for the route, we occasionally need to make adjustments due to traffic, road closures, or public demonstrations in the city. While this is done for safety and to keep the tour running smoothly, we understand it can affect the experience, and we're sorry it fell short this time. We'll be sure to pass your comments along to our operations team so we can keep improving. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience with us.
This was such a fun experience! Definitely recommend! Book during the day or make sure you take a sweater if booked during the night because it does get cold if you’re sitting on the top outdoor layer!
Thank you so much for the great review and the helpful tip! You're right — the top deck can get breezy at night, so a sweater is a smart call for evening tours. So glad you had such a fun experience, and we appreciate you recommending us!
100% excellent, the explanation, the punctuality, the tour, I loved it, my son, my aunt, and I, I recommend it.
¡Muchas gracias por su reseña! Nos alegra muchísimo saber que usted y familia disfrutaron del recorrido. ¡Esperamos verlos pronto de nuevo!
THEY DID NOT PICK ME UP AT THE DEPARTURE POINT! I arrived at the meeting point and never saw anyone, no one passed by me 😭
