The Maid of the Mist and the Cave of the Winds were an unforgettable experience, but without the guided tour led by Mr. Sam, it would have been incomplete. Thank you, Mr. Sam, for your fascinating history lessons and, especially, for your pleasant and humorous personality.
Easy to get to from the Canadian side if you go in the morning. Parking and meeting spot is right on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Nate was great and easy to talk to.
Tour guide was great with lots of interesting stories! Maid of the mist and cave of the winds were great! I didn't have to figure out where to go on my own.

Great activities and even better tour guides! Not only do you get on the boat and in the falls, but you get a tour guide making sure you don’t miss any of rich history in the park. Ask them for Sam Fritz for your tour guide. He’s friendly and tells great stories. We especially enjoyed his “botanical knowledge”. Every question answered and well lead time. Worth doing again.
We got wet but not unbearably. Wonderful to see the falls from that view! We would definitely recommend this adventure to others!
Had a great time. Tour lasted about 3 hours which was perfect. You will get very wet so make sure your poncho is tied securely
My family recently did the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds Guided Tour. It was amazing! Greg, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. We loved the whole experience. The boat was a lot of fun, but our favorite part of the experience was the Cave of the Winds. Being so close to the falls was awesome!
Lots of walking and you will get WET!! Cave of the Winds was indescribable and Maid of the Mist was just a precursor! It would have been nice to use the trolley between these two sites. You might want to carry extra shoes or sandals in a waterproof bag.
Overall, a great experience!!! Well organized with an insightful guide!!! Give yourself extra time to find parking as the recommended parking lot was full.
