Nami Island is especially famous during winter after K-Drama Winter Sonata was filmed there. Nami Island is 63 km away from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon, and is famous for its beautiful tree lined roads. The island is 30 minutes away from Chuncheon and an hour away from the suburbs of Seoul. Since it is not far from Seoul, many couples and families come to visit.
The plants which boasted their beauty in Spring, Summer, and Fall start preparing for winter. Birds’ songs and the sound of water flowing under ice, which can be heard in silence in nature while you walk on the path covered with white snow, will clear your mind. When it becomes dark on a cold winter night, the garden starts waking up slowly as lights are turned on. The festival which starts every December and continues until March of the next year.
