Our visit to Fairview Coffee Farm was an absolute highlight. Raymond, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of coffee — not just in Kenya, but around the world. He made the tour engaging and interactive, and genuinely welcomed our questions throughout. The farm itself was beautiful, and Raymond shared some great points of interest about its sustainable, integrated farming methods. He also spoke about the farm's commitment to no child labor and its support for the local economy. He walked us through the entire coffee-making process, from plant to cup, explaining each stage of growing and production along the way. The coffee tasting at the end was a wonderful treat, and having the opportunity to purchase Fairview coffee to take home made it even better. This excursion was truly one of the best parts of our trip — highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

What a great few hours out in Nairobi, especially for coffee lovers. A quick warning that there is a fair bit of walking around the farm, I think we did just under 2 miles. Our guide was really pleasant and made the event a bit of fun as there were children with some of the other guests. There is a good bit to learn about the process and then you get to taste the different strengths (please listen to your host, as we made a bit of a mess of the tasting and smelling part). Once the tour is over you get to sit down in the gardens with some freshly brewed coffee and biscuits, before you are led to the shop for any purchases. A thoroughly enjoyable few hours out and very recommended.
