Incredible interaction with the snow monkeys. Very serene and beautiful and watching them play in the onsen , isn’t amazing.
Great day trip, lovely to see the monkeys, but advice is to be prepared for the walk up to the park, which can be slippy underfoot if it's raining
What a unique experience to see wild snow monkeys lounging around in their hot springs! We highly recommend this experience and it’s worth the time and effort!
This tour has greatly exceeded our expectations. Omotenashi Travel was very flexible in changing the starting time of our private tour, matching the time that we arrived in Nagano by Shinkansen from Tokyo. Our guide Shuhei let us take all the time we wanted at the snow monkeys (as 2 hobby photographers we were very busy for quite some time :-). The time spent with the snow monkeys was truly amaging. They are wild monkeys but used to people and not bothered at all by the people present. The place where we went for lunch was really nice. After the lunch we were still granded ample time to explore Ghibli Onsen Town before being dropped off at the Nagano train station.
Great experience. A must see if you're in the area. We saw over 100 monkeys in the park, lots of babies. Saw the classic monkeys by the hot spring. Our 2 year old son loved seeing the monkeys run past. Highly recommend.
Excellent guide - friendly, professional and patient. Did not rush us and took lots of photos for us. Would highly recommend this once in a lifetime experience. Thank you
Superb experience, it exceeded our expectations. A little bit of uphill walking and a few stairs, but worth it. You may not see the monkeys, but we were lucky enough to see lots of them. Our brilliant guide, Dai, explained everything in perfect English, and took us to a wonderful restaurant where he helped us with the menu.
