Embark in our air-conditioned modern bus from 4 central meeting points and travel for 1-hour to the area of Peloponnese. On the way to Mycenae, see the famous Corinth Canal and make a quick stop to admire this engineering marvel that connects the Aegean and Ionian seas. From Athens center we need 60 min to reach the Corinth Canal

Continue towards Mycenae, one of the most important cities of ancient Greece. Visit the Mycenaean Acropolis, the tomb of Agamemnon, and the ruins of the Cyclopean walls that protected this mighty city. Continue on to the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, a 4th-century theatre which is one of the best-preserved Classical Greek structures in existence. It is renowned for its amazing acoustics; a coin dropped in the theatre's center can be heard from the highest seat. The theatre seats up to 14,000 people and its entrance is flanked by restored Corinthian pilasters. It's now used for performances of Ancient Greek drama during the annual Hellenic Festival. entrance November to March 12 euros entrance April to October 6 euros

120 min

Last but no least , make a stop in the picturesque city of Nafplion, which was the first capital of Greece after Independence and has been a major port since the Bronze Age. Its position was so strategic that the city has 3 fortresses: the massive fortress of Palamidi, the smaller Akronafplia, and the water castle Bourtzi on an islet west of the old town. Stroll through the attractive narrow streets, and admire the elegant Venetian houses, neoclassical mansions, and quayside cafes. Take the opportunity to go shopping, eat in a traditional restaurant, chill out at the cafes in the picturesque port, or when in summer take a swim in the crystal waters at Arvanitia beach. Then we head back to Athens in a 2 hours drive throught the countryside

A good choice, and well-adapted duration

The pickup is a bit stressful because several excursions leave from the same place, and it is not clearly indicated on the front of the bus. The sites are interesting, with also a stop at the Corinth Canal, and the duration is well calculated. However, the audio guide does not work very well, but the 3D image reconstructions are interesting. For the explanations, you can also download from the official "Hellenic Heritage" site the audio guide for all the sites to visit in Greece, with their map and each point of interest of the site to have the explanations. But with this audio guide, I think you will exceed the time available for each site, so you should rather do it before or after the excursion. The guide was also very good, but they don't always do the same tours from what I understood, but for the moment, out of 3 trips, the 3 guides were very good

The whole trip was very pleasant and professional. Ar voice options are abundant. This itinerary is perfect for friends who love archaeology, and with these monuments scattered, the rhythm of this day trip fits perfectly

An unforgettable trip.

I have recently completed this extraordinary itinerary and I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Greece.  The first stop is the Corinth Canal. Seeing this impressive engineering feat up close is breathtaking. A quick but memorable photo stop. Entering through the famous Lion Gate of Mycenae gives you chills. We walked among the ruins of the Agamemnonian civilization, visited the majestic Tomb of Agamemnon (Treasury of Atreus) and the museum. Third stop Nafplio, an elegant and charming city with paved alleys, Venetian architecture and flowered balconies. The fortress of Bourtzi and Palamidi offer a panoramic view. Last stop Epidaurus with its theater with exceptional acoustics. A special thanks to the guide Alexandra, very talented, very professional and nice, who made the tour even more unique.

Fantastic

It’s a long trip but well worth it. Amazing going to Mycenae knowing it was built in 5 BC. Theatre was amazing and the sound was crystal clear. Wish we had more time but this was an to the area and would consider going back but to stay a few nights to take in the experience. The Corinth Canal was so cool to sea two seas on opposite ends. The only thing that I would suggest is make sure you check up on the pick up points and understand there are a number of buses picking up passengers for various tours.

One of the Best Tours in Athens

I am very late leaving this review on TripAdvisor but was quick to leave one on Google. The trip, the transportation, and the guide were top notch. I feel like this is a must do activity when you visit Athens. The sites are spectacular, no photos or videos can properly capture the feelings of walking these ancient locations.

Lovely tour

A tour where the travel is as good as the destination: Ruins Mycenas is breathtaking, Napfilus is charming and Epidarus is the temple of Asclepio is wonderful. SUPER I RECOMMEND and already buy the tickets to enter the spaces, otherwise don't even make the trip. Tickets are very expensive! But that's it, either you come in and know the places or you don't.

Great trip

It was informative and interesting. I think the guide was Mikhaila and she managed the trip well. The organization was very nice and helpful since I missed the bus, they together with viator support arranged for me to get on another bus to reconnect with the trip so thank you.

Well-organized trip with an attentive and dedicated guide.

A trip that combines two historical sites, with Epidauro being the richest, along with a charming coastal city.
