On this full-day tour, you will explore two iconic top attractions in Beijing: the Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the Summer Palace, the imperial summer retreat for ancient emperors. Standing atop the Great Wall, you will be stunned by its magnificent panoramic views. Meanwhile, the Summer Palace offers a completely distinct experience with its exquisite classical landscapes. The package covers all entrance tickets, chairlift fees, lunch, professional tour guide service and round-trip vehicle transfers. Everything is fully inclusive.

Itinerary
In the morning, your professionally English-speaking tour guide and driver with an air-conditioned vehicle will pick you up. You may choose pickup service at your hotel lobby, or opt to meet us at our designated meeting point. We will first head to Mutianyu Great Wall, a 1.5-hour drive away. Mutianyu is a quieter, more remote section of the Great Wall around Beijing with far fewer crowds. This segment is famed for its stunning natural scenery: lush forests and verdant grasslands that shift colours with every passing season. The wall snakes more than 1,000 meters along mountain ridges, before making a sharp turn and descending steeply down the hillside. You will have roughly two hours of free time to explore the Great Wall. The uphill hike takes around 30 minutes on foot. Alternatively, you may take the chairlift up; a thrilling luge slide down the mountain is also available on your way back.
After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, we will proceed to the Summer Palace, which is a little over one hour’s drive from Mutianyu Great Wall. The Summer Palace served as an imperial royal garden in ancient times. It boasts countless elegant pavilions, grand mansions, sacred temples, delicate bridges, vast lakes and winding covered corridors. The iconic Long Corridor, stretching alongside the water, holds the Guinness World Record as the world’s longest painted corridor. You will also visit well-known landmarks including the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, Marble Boat, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill. Once the sightseeing concludes, our driver will transfer you back to your hotel.

My family and I did this tour and our tour guide was Sunny. We had a great time and enjoyed very much our tour to the Great Wall and Summer Palace. We highly recommend Sunny, she is very attentive, very patient, explained things to us very well, very easy to talk to. It was a great experience, the tour guide jerry, he was very informative, friendly, patient, polite and also the driver felt very safe. Lucy was such a great guide. She kept in touch with us before the meeting pickup, and arranged everything seamlessly. Because I was the only one who booked the full day, after the Great Wall, I had a private tour of the summer palace. Lucy’s knowledge of history was great, and she explained so much about China to me. Her English is very very good! Lucy kept me on schedule and helped me take lots of photos.
