Mozarthaus Vienna
Admission included
The Mozarthaus Vienna presentation covers three floors. “I assure you that this is a magnificent place …” wrote Mozart on 4 April 1781 to his father Leopold in Salzburg. With this quotation as a starting point, the exhibition on the third floor deals with Mozart’s personal and social situation in Vienna.
The tour of the second floor looks at Mozart’s main musical and composer colleagues in Vienna and his cooperation with the librettist Lorenzo da Ponte in “The Marriage of Figaro” and “Don Giovanni”. Mozart’s Apartment on the first floor is the centerpiece of Mozarthaus Vienna.
Mozart and his family lived there from 1784 to 1787, during which time he wrote the world-famous opera “The Marriage of Figaro” and three of the six Haydn Quartets. It is the largest, most elegant and expensive apartment ever occupied by Mozart and the only one that is still intact today.

Mozart the Person
A cool place to visit and learn Mozart history. Doesn't offer a lot to see but it's in the middle of the city and it gives you a lot of personal information on Mozart the person. I would highly recommend you pay for the headset to listen to the audio facts.

Go see this after St. Stephens!
Just a few steps from St. Stephen’s Cathedral stands the Mozarthaus Vienna, the only surviving Vienna residence of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The composer and his family lived here from 1784 to 1787, during one of the most creative periods of his career. It was in this space that he worked on some of his greatest music, including The Marriage of Figaro.

Underwhelming experience
This was not as expected, very little set up to show lifestyle while Mozart and his family lived there. A few items and pictures to give you an idea. Not a lot of background on his family etc which is a shame for those of us who don’t know. A lot about his work, his collaborators and rivals. Hand held audio guide was not always interesting but a few things around to read.
Was still there for about one and a half hours at a cost of €16 each.

Very historical
It's worthwhile if you are a mozart fan.
Mozart's house is near St. Stephen's church and getting to it is breathtaking. There is also the house Mozart died nearby that is worthwhile as well.

Expected more. For ticking
To be honest, I had high expectations. On the plus side, there's an online translator and a map museum. But there are no Mozart instruments, not even mock instruments. At least an eighth figure was added ((. Anyway, there's more to come. But it would be a waste to visit once for a tick

Too many expectations
Boring .and wasted money....not worth the cost only showcases and furniture almost nonexistent.
It is recommended before starting not to take pictures..... what should we have photographed?
