Mountain Hike Colors full day - with guide
Description
The guided hike to the 7-Color Mountain (Vinicunca) is a full-day tourist experience that allows visitors to discover one of the most emblematic natural attractions of the Peruvian Andes. The service includes roundtrip tourist transportation from Cusco, certified professional guide, breakfast and lunch, and organized assistance, participants can enjoy the walk with tranquility and comfort. Upon arriving at the main viewpoint of Vinicunca, visitors will have the opportunity to contemplate and photograph this unique natural landscape, with adequate time to explore and appreciate the geological phenomenon that distinguishes the mountain.

Itinerary
First we will start with pickup from your accommodation in Cusco. Then, we will travel in our tourist transport for about 3 hours.
Arrival at our restaurant in the community of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a buffet breakfast before making our walk.
Our tourist transport will take us to the starting point of the walk. From this point we will do a hike of 1 hour and 30 minutes approximately (one way), to reach the Mountain of Colors.
After the hike we will reach the Mountain of Colors. From this point, you can also see panoramic views of the snowy Ausangate. We will have free time to rest, take pictures and enjoy the surroundings.
After you have finished your visit to the Mountain of Colors, we will return in our tourist transpot to our restaurant to enjoy a buffet lunch.
Finally we will return to the city of Cusco, and we end our services.

Extraordinary excursion. Stunning landscapes and environments. Our guide Grimaldo was excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable. We recommend a late departure so that you do not have to wake up too early and you will find much less crowd on site. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved this experience. Stunning landscapes of the rainbow mountain but I found the surrounding Andes mountains just as spectacular. Everything ran on time, was well organised, food was good and guides were helpful/friendly. Highly recommend but note this is a long, tough day - you start really early (~3am), it’s a long drive out from Cusco and at 5,000m the climb up the mountain is not easy. There are horses available to rent for a reasonable price though if you need/want to use them.

The tour was breathtaking, an eternal memory and like a dream, thanks to Jose who was our guide with a lot of experience, knowledge, knowledge and experience. Ysmael was an excellent tour guide. The trip went smoothly. He shared historical information along the way, and taught us Quechua words to connect with locals. He was attentive to our experience especially when we reached higher altitudes.
