Well organized excursion not for the unfit person as it’s 7km about 3-4 hours up the mountain ! Though the path is wide and gradual I managed the first 3 km before my knees gave up but there are camels all along the way that you can ride up to the last 750 steps to summit The sunrise was spectacular as were the views
Picked up on time from outside the hotel, drive to Mt Sinai is long due to extra security in that region and all tours have to travel together. The guide was very good and multi lingual. The hike up is physical especially the 750 steps to the top. Bring warm jackets and gloves as it is very cold at the top and your hands are always out to take pictures. Nice trip. The visit to St. Catherines was very rushed as we had to wait for some of our group at the bottom.
