It was awesome. Thank you for the experience. I would be picked up on time and safely at my hotel and driven home again. My guide was great. And I can only recommend sunset. I was almost alone instead of having so many other people like the sunrise.

It was awesome. Thank you for the experience. I would be picked up on time and safely at my hotel and driven home again. My guide was great. And I can only recommend sunset. I was almost alone instead of having so many other people like the sunrise.
Very professional company. They were great at communication through whatsapp and picked us up on time. We enjoyed our coffee stop and sampling. Our guide up Mt. Batur was patient and we enjoyed the food at the top. Nobody warned us about all of the flies and there were many, all the way up. Just something to know about, not a reason not to go! The route we did was very steep- straight up and straight down without switchbacks, really. They offered a pole for trekking at the beginning. If you have trekking poles it might be a good idea to bring them just because there is some loose gravel so easy to fall on the way back down. We saw no other people on the way up or at the top. On the way down there were 3 people coming up who planned to camp in order to see the sunrise the next day. We appreciated the solitude of the sunset trek.
We had an amazing time. The hike was good but needed a couple of stops to catch our breath. Our guide was great and eating eggs cooked by a volcano was something else for sure. Best tip is don't try to keep up with your guide. Go our own pace and they will stay with you
Amazing experience. Our guide was Kaden Raman and he did such an amazing job! Water was provided at the start of the hike and he let us go at our own pace, asking us if we wanted to rest at each rest station we stopped by. At the top he cooked us banana and egg sandwiches in the steam from active volcano and also gave us coffee and hot chocolate. An INCREDIBLE experience and the views at the top are insane! Highly recommend! You will not regret it
My friends and I were first time visitors to Bali, and we booked this sunset trekking tour with an optional visit to a coffee plantation. We first travelled to the coffee plantation from our hotel at Ubud. Following an informative and succinct presentation, we had the chance to taste various types of tea and coffee, including the famous Kopi Luwak. We were then taken to a nice restaurant with a panoramic view of Mount Batur, Kintamani Lake area and Mount Agung. The lunch options provided there are a mix of western and Indonesian foods, with soft drinks and coffee included. After lunch we were taken to the starting point of the trek, where we met our hiking guide Mr. Kaca and collected a hiking stick. Mr. Kaca is a friendly veteran hiking guide with 15+ years of experience, who had helped making this hike more enjoyable with his chats. Once we reached the caldera summit, we were taken to see the volcanic steams and Mr. Kaca had showcased his photography skills to take pictures for our group. Steamed eggs and hot chocolates made with the volcanic heat were also provided to us. After sunset, we were given headlamps as we make our way back to the starting point. The way down is quite challenging due to the steep, rocky slopes and the darkness, but with Mr. Kaca’s guidance we had made it back in around two hours under the starry sky. Overall, this trekking tour is an enjoyable one, and I would highly recommend anyone who wants to trek the volcano but do not want to wake up early for the sunrise. Special thanks to Mr. Kaca and our friendly driver, Mr. Putu who made it possible.
A real highlight of Bali for us. We did it 30 years ago and it was so memorable we wanted to do it again. It didn’t disappoint. Spectacular experience. Our guides Wayan Budiawan and Kaca were tremendous. Very helpful and encouraging and knowledgeable. Ask Wayan about his singing career. Putu Anton was our driver. Great driver and laughed at all my jokes. Highly recommended!
We did a sunset tour with the Mount Batur Trekking Group and had an incredible experience from start to finish. Our group of six was picked up by our friendly driver, Edi, who got us safely to Mount Batur. Once there, our amazing guides, Wayan Budiawan and Kaca, led us on the hike. Both Wayan and Kaca were not only knowledgeable but also super entertaining and funny, making the trek even more enjoyable. They went out of their way to take plenty of photos and videos for us, which we really appreciated. At the top, we boiled eggs using the volcanic steam, sipped on hot tea and coffee, and enjoyed the most stunning sunset. After the descent, they kindly helped us organise a visit to the nearby hot springs just before closing time — the perfect way to end the day. The whole team was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and professional. We couldn’t recommend this tour more highly!
⸻ We did the Mount Batur sunset trekking and had a fantastic experience! The hike was great and the views were breathtaking. Our guide, Kaca, was knowledgeable and friendly. He made the trek both fun and safe, and he knew how to take amazing photos!! Our driver, Wayan Budiawan, was punctual, kind, and very helpful - he even found a nice restaurant with vegetarian options for us and took us there for lunch. Highly recommend this experience!
Was very nice to go at sunset! Hardly any crowd, and the view was still great. Thank you to my awesome tour guide Gede! He was very sweet. Would definitely recommend!
This was an all-around fantastic experience! The guides kept us all safe, were super friendly and fun, and took some amazing cinematic photos and videos of our group. We cannot recommend Wayan Budiawan and KACA enough! At the top of the mountain, they served us hot drinks and volcano-steamed eggs, which were just what we needed after a tiring hike and before beginning our descent in the dark. They provided hiking poles and headlamps, which helped us feel more confident on the often slippery terrain. Our driver Kadek Michael was also very kind, obliging us to make some stops on the way back to our accommodation after the hike. We also have to give a shoutout to the restaurant we were taken to for lunch, as it was beautiful and the food was delicious with generous portion sizes. Overall, would give 10/5 stars if we could :D
