Laura was a fantastic guide. She knew Barcelona’s history really well and easily adapted the experience to what we wanted to see. The whole day felt very smooth, getting out of the city to explore Gaudí’s Colonia Güell and then continuing on to Montserrat with its incredible views and monastery. She also gave us great recommendations along the way for food and things to do, which we really appreciated. We highly recommend a tour with Laura.
Essential stop for fans of Gaudí. We did this day trip with Ivan, and he was an outstanding guide. He shared very interesting details in a fun and engaging way, very professional and attentive to everyone. Recommended 100%. The places we visited, from the colony and crypt to the mountain views, are truly beautiful.
It was such an enriching experience. The guide’s explanations were clear and showed a strong knowledge of all the key highlights of the tour. Listening to our guide, Lucas, was a real pleasure. He had a great way of speaking that kept everyone interested without it ever feeling overwhelming. Honestly, the best part of the visit was how naturally he involved the group, making our curiosity and connection grow more and more as the tour went on.
Barcelona is a wonderful city, but I want to highlight the outstanding job done by our guide Marc, who made the tour feel deeply connected to the local history, culture and wonderful views of Montserrat and visiting Colonia Guell. He kept us engaged the entire time, and the hours passed in what felt like minutes thanks to his energy and insight. Highly recommended.
The tour is a full-day tour, and at first I thought it might feel too long — but it went by in a flash! Marco was fantastic: quick, clear, and full of great stories. With so much to share, his fast pace made perfect sense. We learned a ton, saw so much, and never felt bored. Honestly, the time just flew. Totally recommend this experience — and Marco gets a 10 from us!
Paulo Silva has curated a unique and awe-inspiring tour with flexibility, friendliness, fascinating historical narrative! It took a lot of research to find a day trip that combined the often overlooked Gaudi Crypt along with a breathtaking tour of the stunning cliffs of Montserrat including an awe-inspiring cable car ride up the mountain and a walk through the majestic monastery with all of its ornate biblical figures in marble, gold, and other glittering wonders! What a testament to the heavens and what a perfect companion to usher us there! We even enjoyed the privilege of listening to Paulo’s awesome travel tunes including reggae classics, new wave, and even some impressive originals from his own local band! Thank you, Paulo! 16 thumbs up from the Long Beach, New York crew!!!!
Great experience and for sure get tickets to see the boys choir. I will say I was expecting more of a “Petra” experience as opposed to the more modern 19th century building. . That being said - it is beautiful and the tour through Güell Colònia was very interesting and a great way to see how people lived during that time. Our guide, Paulo, was fun, personable and very knowledgeable. We could have hung out with him all day!!
I had signed up for the choir and was informed it was not included in the tour. A 2 hour lunch before arriving in Montserrat is not practical and a waste of time. The time would have been better spent at Montserrat with a quick bite. The tour was disappointing and not worth the money.
Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify that the Boys’ Choir performance at Montserrat is not included by default in this tour, as it requires a special request and confirmation, something clearly stated in the tour description. Unfortunately, we did not receive any such request from your side. Regarding the lunch, the guide advised a reasonable time frame to ensure the full itinerary could be completed as planned. However, your group chose to extend the lunch beyond the recommended duration. On a tour of over 8 hours, timings are carefully calculated to fit all scheduled stops, and we trust guests to help us keep things on track. Of course, you're free to take your time, but it’s unfair to place blame on the company for decisions that affected the timing and content of your own experience. We feel it's important to be transparent about that. Best,
