We took a private tour to Monopoli. Our Guide Marcella (doc monopolitan) greeted us with cordiality putting us immediately at ease and in telling us about the history, culture and curiosity of the town with preparation and expertise, he transmitted all the passion and love for his land. Watch out. If you drive to the city of Monopoli then you get a penalty, as it is only allowed to residents. Access is only permitted at certain times. It was a fun tour and monopoli is a cute town with all small streets and 20 churches. Below ground and above ground. The guide spoke very poor English so that was a minus
N on review the tour but the cities I review the city in general without dwelling on monuments in particular. We could visit almost nothing inside all the closed churches. We visited the castle. The city not very clean. Everything has left us with the impression that no one knows how to exploit the appeal that despite everything Monopoli offers

An interesting walking tour through Monopoli with our knowledgeable guide, finishing with a tasting of local olive oils, wine and tapenades. Went into some churches and heard history that we would not have done otherwise.
This morning I wanted to go on a tour of Monopoly. I called Tourists in Puglia and they told me that there were no tours planned this morning but they could get busy to organize a dedicated tour for me and my wife. They were very efficient and after only an hour from the call we were able to do our nice tour. The Floriana guide was engaging and competent and told us stories and legends of Monopoly. Brave all!!!
A beautiful city waiting to be discovered, every corner in the old town is decorated and not left to chance, perfumes, music, laughter in the restaurant premises. People are happy, the place really gives positive energy... then the sea ok, from that magical touch to this Apulian wonder.
