Moab Scenic Off Road Adventure

Faced with planning a day in Moab with family members aged 14-86, we opted for a “scenic tour” with Xtreme 4x4 Tours — a great choice for us, balancing our need for adventure and wanting to know more about this remarkable place. Our guide Braden was marvelous — personable, fun loving and knowledgeable demonstrating his own devotion to and curiosity about Moab. Claiming modest knowledge of native cultures and geology, he has obviously been a serious student of these for many years. He engaged with us over our many questions, giving real intellectual depth to a “bumpy thrill ride”.

My husband and I just finished an amazing 5 hour off road tour in the backcountry in Canyonlands with our guide Kevin. The scenery was incredibly varied, and we stopped at many different spots to see particular vistas, land formations, potash production, arches, petroglyphs and dinosaur fossils. Part of the tour took us through the national park (e.g., Schaefer Trail, White Rim) but we also explored fascinating areas outside the national park proper. This has got to be the best way to experience Canyonlands. Everything about our interactions with the company and its staff were professional, safety conscious and friendly. Highly recommended.

We booked this 3 hour trip less than 48 hours ahead of time. Turned out great. Instead of a larger vehicle, we ended up in a 4 door side-by-side with Joe Pitts as our guide. The tour took us through BLM lands with great views. Joe knew his driving and the mountains. Wish we had more time to take another tour with him.

We were a group of ladies traveling. We loved the drive. The scenery was beautiful and had just enough adventure to make it fun and not so normal. The drive time was good and I felt like I got my money's worth. I recommend this tour operator when visiting Moab.

Sean was a great guide. A lot of fun, very knowledgeable and thankfully a great driver as well climbed up Schaffers Road in Canyonkands. He shared a lot of local insights and stories and made our bs k country tour very special!

Loved it! We decided 4 hours to see a lot of the park and learn from a knowledgeable, fun guide was more beneficial then going it alone and accomplishing one hike in the same amount of time! We did three small hikes, off road traveled and took a million pictures. Our guide Zed Holloway was awesome!!

We had an amazing time with Austin who customized the tour to what we were looking for. It was a great experience well worth the money. Would definitely do it again. We took the evening tour which was really nice because it wasn’t as crowded with other tours.

Knowledgeable guide. Great scenery. Was a little nervous with the new guide driver. Learned quite a bit about the area. Small group.
