Mindo: Bird watching, Chocolate, Waterfall and Adventure

Many thanks to Joselo our guide for that tour to Mindo and to our driver Miguel for such a divine day! Although it rained from time to time, we had a great time: we saw hummingbirds that landed on our hands, the chocolate tour was very tasty 🤩, the canopy, the cable car, the hike to the waterfall, the breakfast, and time for souvenirs. If you want to see a different climate and do very interesting activities, this tour is more than spectacular!

Such a fun experience and definitely a highlight of my trip! Joel was an amazing guide and Rame was a great driver. Joel shared lots of interesting information along the way, spoke both English and Spanish really well, and brought great energy to the group. We got to feed hummingbirds, see toucans, visit a chocolate factory, go zip lining, eat delicious Ecuadorian food, and hike to a waterfall for a swim. Such a great day and would definitely recommend!

We loved our tour guide, Joel. He was very helpful and genuine. His English and Spanish were both great. Our group had so much fun. This tour was an amazing value for the money. We did so many activities and spent a full 12 hours on the tour. We loved the hummingbirds, chocolate, ziplines, waterfall, food, and cable car!

We had so much fun on this tour. Joel was a great guide. He spoke very good English and Spanish. He was friendly and funny and helped everyone feel comfortable. By the end of the tour everyone was friends with each other. The tour itself was entertaining with a lot of different activities. I especially loved the hummingbirds. We were also lucky enough to see some toucans. The included lunch was yummy.

Terrific experience! I would book with this tour group again. We had an amazing time being lead by Anthony (and driven by Rami!) through all of the activities. Each stop on this tour was a great location and tour site. All of the activities were very professionally run. I felt like it was a good value for the money and our tour guide Anthony made sure to be on the lookout for chances to make it even better.

Such a fun day trip! David, our tour guide spoke Spanish and English, and was filled with enthusiasm as he explained cultural and natural facts about Mindo. I got behind on the waterfall hike to take pics and he came and found me to make sure I was ok. The tour was full of stimulating adventure with time to rest and eat in between. Even a tour of a artisanal chocolate factory! Fantastic for the price. I went on the Cotopaxi horseback riding tour 2 days before and enjoyed it so much I booked Mindo too. The bus driver was experienced and the bus was comfortable as well. Nice way to see the sights as a solo traveler. The Ecosportour company was responsive and helpful answering any questions I had. Highly recommend!!

Excellent tour. Very balanced between exercise, adrenaline, relaxation, rest, and new experiences. The guide David is a very dedicated, responsible young man, attentive to the group. Excellent at his job.

I loved Mindo. Anthony, our guide, provided excellent explanations throughout the entire tour. I really enjoyed the hummingbird experience, but my favorite part of the whole tour was the ride on the Tarabita.

Our driver and tour guides David, Anthony, and Alex were great! I went as a solo traveler and had a great time. Feeding the hummingbirds was an amazing experience and the zip lining was incredible. The chocolate tour was also a great way to end the tour. Don’t skip the activities and make sure you bring clothes for the rain!
