Our trip begins from Papafragas or the 'volcanic swimming pool' where we will wonder for a while at this picturesque location, you can look down into the clear turquoise waters.
Phylakopi that is our next stop, here will introduce you this prehistoric position.
A short drive from Phylakopi takes us to the famous Sarakiniko , the unique 'Lunar Landscape'. The beautiful spot is one of the island's many geological wonders and perhaps one of the most photographed places in Cyclades! We will take a wall down the inlet so you can experience this one of a kind beach and take some photos.
From there we will travel towards Plaka and its cobbled streets and alleys. In the capital of Milos you will have the time to admire its traditional architecture and its stunning view of the sea from the veranda of Panagia Korfiatissa.
The next stop is the marble Roman Amphitheatre. recently restored.

Papafragas is a cluster of deep-sea inlets and sea caves. It is located at the base of pristine ravine that was shaped by volcanic activity.

Phylakopi is a settlement dating back to the Neolithic Period. While excavating archaeologists discovered tools made of obsidian, a volcanic glass similar to granite.
Also that was the place where the 'Lady of Phylakopi' was discovered.

Plaka is a classic Cycladic Chora , with white stone houses and bougainvilleas, situated 250m above sea level.
Ancient Roman Theatre - Milos

Placed on a slope below the picturesque village of Tripiti, the Ancient Theater is a well-preserved open-air marble theater, despite being slightly ruined throughout the years since it was first built during the Hellenistic period. It boasts a fantastic sight, as along with the theater and the nearby historic catacombs, you are also offered fantastic views towards the Aegean Sea and the harbor of Klima village.

Great overview of the most important sites on Milos
There are several stops and a bit of walking so take your walking shoes. It can get tiring in the heat but our guide, Mario, ensured we were back in the airconditioned van often and offered us several bottles of cold water. Mario was an excellent guide and showed us some extra sites that were not on the tour itinerary - very interesting and we saw so many beautiful sites on this tour. I travelled with my husband and we were joined by another couple - an almost private tour.

Incredible views of Milos
We got to see the most incredible views of Milos! Kostas was the greatest tour guide! He showed us the hidden treasures and took great care of us. Comfortable air conditioned van, a small amount of walking, customized for our group.

There’s a lot of walking, but the history is great. Sarakiniko Beach is incredible to see. Our driver was very friendly and knew so much about Milos.

Milos Tour
Kostas was an amazing guide. He was accommodating of everyone, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about showing us all Milos has to offer. He was easy to talk to and it felt like we were good friends by the end of the tour. He went above and beyond by arranging transportation for me to have a special birthday dinner in Plaka that evening, and suggested both a restaurant and foods to try.

Out of the world
West of the Cyclades, apart from the tourist hordes that invade its neighbors, this is Milos. Apart from the geological curiosity of the beach and the cliffs of Sarakiniko, not much to see on this peeled island, fried by the sun and battered by the winds. Ah, yes, of course, this is where French archaeologists found and reunited the two pieces of the famous Venus that sits in the Louvre...
Other than that?
Well nothing, except the unique charm of small villages like Adamandas or Plaka where white and blue reign, where sipping an ouzo or a Greek coffee under a dais of red bougainvillea contemplating the Mediterranean is an innefable pleasure.
Time suddenly stops...
To visit in autumn to avoid a merciless sun.
The sea is still warm and its waters are still crystal clear.

Perfect tour to get a feel of Milos.
We had a most memorable tour thanks to Marios. He was extremely knowledgeable about the places we visited and a lover of history which my husband loved.
