The map that you provided as part of the trip was not accurate. The hall of the axis was closed for renovation, and has been for months. There is no directions to where the starting point of the map is located. The map also does not tell you how to get to the next museum. The map should be an outline of the castle with specific directions. The map is pretty much useless. We don recommend this tour.

The castle is an imposing building but the museums are disappointing. Very little about the Sforza or Visconti families, no real effort to offer any historical context and a very poor audio guide. You can wander through the castle courtyards for free. My suggestion is to do this and don’t bother with the museums.
Lots to see, but lots of walking. While they have a lot of recovered architecture, most of it is what you can see throughout the city. There is a collection of modern art alongside the older paintings, sculptures, tapestries, and engraved pieces. They do have a wide selection of artillery, armor, and such as well. Word of caution, it is quite humid in the summer months, especially inside were there is no breeze. It was overall, a large collection with something for everyone.
Hello, Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed review! We're glad you found such a wide and varied collection to explore, with something for everyone. Thanks also for the heads up about the humidity in summer, that's really helpful for future visitors. Best regards, Vox City International
Be careful when buying a ticket from TripAdvisor. We were sent away at the entrance and were told it is not official tickets. Had to walk all the way back outside to go get official tickets at another tour operator. Otherwise the visit was interesting. The panoramic walk around the walls are not included. The Egyptian display was awesome. My kids loved it.
Tickets could be picked up easily. No need to wait in line at the Castello. The audio guide was not good - unfortunately, there was no sorting for the museums/rooms.

This was one of those underwhelming tourist attractions we visited during our trip. While the castle itself is very cool, the interior itself, especially the exhibits and content, were poorly organized, curated and presented. It would have been much more enjoyable if there was a well thought out orderly way for visitors to enjoy all the exhibits. For some reason, easily visible and clear signage are rarely used and we had to figure out what was there, where it was, how to get to it, and do much more work than patrons should have to do. For a third tier attraction, this would be expected, but for a major tourist draw, things need to be better organized for optimal and clear directional flow. I'd skip the ticket and interior unless you're really interested, and just enjoy the outside and grounds of the castle.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you appreciated the castle itself and its exterior grounds. However, we are sorry to learn that the interior experience did not meet your expectations. We understand your concerns regarding the organization of the exhibits, the visitor flow, and the clarity of the signage. A well-structured and easy-to-navigate experience is important, and we regret that you found it difficult to locate and enjoy the different areas of the attraction. While we are not directly responsible for the curation and layout of the venue, we value your comments and will share your feedback with the relevant partners for their consideration. Thank you again for your detailed review. Feedback such as yours helps identify areas where the visitor experience can be improved. Sincerely, VoxCity
The grounds and park around it were really pretty but the entire building is a museum which housed a large number of heart attacks, musical instruments, art, tapestries furniture and history.
Very good if you love Italian history. You could stay for hours. Was a bit crowded but it was Easter weekend.
Our tour guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and engaging and eagerly shared his passion about Italian history. Booked the tour to see The Last Supper and the Duomo but also enjoyed the walking tour and the castle very much. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed the castle and walked through it at our leisure.
