From there we went to the castle, and weeks later our kids are still talking about what they learned there. Roby has a gift for making history feel real and immediate for children — she connected with both kids individually, adjusting to each of their ages and interests, and again sent us home with something tangible from the day. We ended with a cooking class with Roby and Barbara, and it was the highlight of the entire trip. We made fresh pasta — my daughter has asked to make it again every day since we’ve been home — and tiramisu, which somehow turned my famously picky daughter into someone who now asks for it. That one dish genuinely changed how she approaches trying new foods. I’ve traveled a lot with my kids, and I’ve never seen anyone take a big, complex city and make it so completely accessible and exciting for children of very different ages. Roby didn’t just show us Milan — she gave our kids one of the best days of the entire trip. Cannot recommend her highly enough.

Roberta crafted the perfect day for my five year old. Her attention to detail and understanding of age appropriate experiences was spot on. She was also flexible and adaptable to what he was interested in. By the end of the day, she was family. We did a scavenger hunt of the duomo, followed by lunch and a pizza making class. He still talks about the experience and we can’t wait to see her next summer.

Extraordinary experience! A magical tour for the whole family. We participated in the Sforza Castle tour organized by Kids and the City Milano with our 8 and 10-year-old children, and it was simply perfect. A special thanks goes to our guide Roberta, who was formidable. With her captivating storytelling, riddles, and historical anecdotes, she managed to capture the children's attention from beginning to end, without ever boring them. The absolute best part was the fantastic idea of the instant photos taken during the tour: the children were able to print them immediately and stick them directly into their travel journal. A tangible and wonderful souvenir that they keep with pride! We adults also discovered fascinating curiosities about the Visconti and Sforza families. The approach is super dynamic, interactive, and child-friendly. Impeccable organization, punctuality, and great professionalism. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a cultural and stimulating activity in Milan. Very well-deserved five stars for Kids and the City and for Roberta; we will definitely participate in future tours!

Roberta was wonderful with my son, and in fact, she was also exceptional in her dealings with adults. Our visit to the Duomo Church, whether from the outside, the inside, or even the balcony, made it a pleasant and light experience for those who do not like to delve into the information. Tours are offered that are suitable for children, with or without parents, depending on what the family prefers. My son is naturally shy but loves history and is 12 years old, but she was able to break down his shyness barrier and made him interact and enjoy the tour remarkably. In the summer, I recommend booking the tour after 5:30 pm when the weather is cooler, or choosing a time of year when the weather is more moderate. I would definitely recommend it to families who want a fun and suitable experience for children who love and are interested in these kinds of stories in particular, or whose parents like to educate them. Note that she will talk about Christianity and their customs for the purpose of explaining in a simple way, and I liked that she asked my son about the equivalent of that in his country or religion first.

We did 2 tours with Roberta: one tour in the Duomo, and one tour in the castle. These tours were absolutely the highlight of our visit! Roberta is SO good with children. I’m really impressed with how she approached the time with such a pedagogical mindset. We have 3 kids between 4 and 10 years old, and it was lovely to see how she included all of the kids, despite their different attention spans. It was clear that she spent a lot of time preparing the visit. We stayed with the kids and Roberta during all of the tours, but I would definitely feel comfortable with my kids having a visit just with her in the future. We now have wonderful souvenirs and memories of Milan, thanks to Roberta! I highly recommend her tours!

Yesterday we went to Castello Sforzesco with our 2 grandchildren aged 7 and 9 who live in London and speak English. If I can start with the conclusions, I tell you that Roberta was fantastic: she had prepared the visit in detail and expertly mixed culture, games, treasure hunt! The two children certainly learned many things, but they also had a great time and at the end of the journey they had created a beautiful relationship with Roberta. The icing on the cake was his 9-year-old grandson (who would not want to come to the visit) who told us that he would like to visit other special places in Milan, on the occasion of the next visit to his grandparents, but only if it will be possible to do it with Roberta!!!!

This was hands down the BEST kids tour we could have ever asked for! This past week, our 3 daughters (ages 6-11) spent an incredible 5 hours with Roberta touring the beautiful city of Milan. Roberta was such a kind, friendly and knowledgeable tour kids, and she specializes in kid-friendly tours. She was so sweet with our girls, and showed them the best time. She picked activities that were age appropriate, she brought lots of fun things for the girls (like notebooks for the scavenger hunt), and she kept their interest the entire time. Our girls walked hand in hand with Roberta for hours, giggled along the way, and learned so much about Milan. We were so sad to leave at the end of the tour, and we can't wait to visit again soon.
