I couldn't enter because the ticket didn't arrive by the admission time.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience. The basilica was closed, and we tried to contact you to let you know, but unfortunately we couldn’t reach you. We regret that you were unable to enter.
The tour guide was hard to understand at times. She chastised one woman in the group over the headsets for asking too many questions and talking all the time. Tour guide said she reminder her of her own daughter ‘who won’t shut up’. Too much time in the courtyard referring to small images she had in her hands on paper that no one could see. Didn’t hold her flag up high enough to be seen and we had a hard time finding her at times when we were strung out through very heavy groups of people. The tour guide was admonished by a few of the security guards for stopping in places she should not be stopping. She also go into it with a few other tour guides in Italian as they were clearly not happy with what she was doing. By far my worst experience with Viator.
The remarks described, difficulty understanding and following the guide, poor visibility of the flag, and disruptions involving security staff and other guides are concerning. Every guest should be treated respectfully and feel well supported throughout the tour. We are reviewing your feedback directly with the guide and our operations team to prevent similar issues in the future. Please accept our sincere apologies for your disappointing experience.
