The tour departs from the cruise terminal in the direction of Savoca (approximately 40 minutes by road). Savoca is the town where the film The Godfather was filmed. We will see all the most iconic places such as the Vitelli bar and the cathedral where Michael Corleone got married. After about an hour we leave to go to Castelmola (about 30 minutes from Savoca). Castelmola is a small village on the top of Taormina with a wonderful view of Mount Etna. After about an hour we move to Taormina, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, reachable only on foot and full of shops and restaurants. After about 2 or 3 hours we return to Messina, but not before a nice panoramic tour of Isola Bella. As a last stop, we will visit the Sanctuary of Christ the King, a panoramic point over the Strait of Messina, and the Duomo cathedral, where you can admire the largest astronomical clock in Europe. The timetable is designed to make the most of your time in Sicily and to be perfectly on time with the cruise ship.

We had an excellent tour with Pari, our guide, and Fabrizio, our driver. They made the day more memorable than a big group tour. They accommodated our pace and what we wanted to see. And recommended a great lunch stop and wow - the cannoli! Savoca and Taormina were beautiful and not to be missed. Highly recommend and hope you get Pari and Fabrizio!
This was truly a wonderful tour! Our guide, Marisa, and her driver, Fulvio, took us to some beautiful places with spectacular views. It was definitely our best excursion during our cruise week. We enjoyed our day in Sicily very much and we would absolutely recommend this tour to others. Such a lovely day!
Outstanding tour of Sicily. Pari is an amazing guide and she is knowledgeable about the local history and the surrounding towns. The first stop was to Bar Vitelli in Savoca and we got to enjoy a little movie culture from the Godfather. We were able to shift our agenda a little and hit Taormina next. Great town for shopping and Pari booked us an awesome lunch at Mamma Rosa. Our final stop was at Castelmola and a surprise visit to Bar Turrisi. Let’s just say it is an interesting stop with amazing wine and cannolis. Alberto was our driver and he got us close to all of our stops and was very prompt with pickups. An amazing tour overall and I definitely recommend asking for Pari and Alberto!

Amazing! Our guide ( mi cugino) Andrea was excellent. Prompt accommodating friendly knowledgeable. He really made the entire experience excellent. The places we visited were like postcards. He even brought us to beaches that weren’t even listed as part of the itinerary. You could feel the pride he has in his country and his passion for his job. I I would definitely Highly recommend this excursion.

We had an absolutely amazing day on this private tour in Sicily, thanks to Alberto and our amazing guide Paria. We were picked up from Messina cruise terminal in a lovely, spacious and comfortable air conditioned vehicle and taken first to Savoca the iconic village where the God Father movie was filmed, where we enjoyed coffee in the famous Bar Vitelli. Thereafter, we went on to Castelmola and finally on to beautiful Taormina. Our guide Paria was exceptional. She had a wonderful warm personality, a wealth of knowledge and such passion and enthusiasm for her job. She did everything possible to accommodate all our requests and made sure we had a truly fabulous and memorable day. We were even treated to the authentic Cannoli, the best we’ve ever tasted. It was an excellent way to see the maximum we could in a limited time. Thank you Alberto and Paria. I would whole heartedly recommend this wonderful tour!

The tour was great. Our guide Isabella was wonderful and she was knowledgeable about the sites. She stayed with us the entire time and even had lunch with us at an amazing restaurant in Taromina. Our driver was great as well both of them were so accommodating, very easy and laid back. I would highly recommend this tour.
