Merzouga Exotic Quads & Jeep Exploration

Absolutely incredible experience. The rooms were clean, the hosts were so kind and fun! We had a group of 7 of us and really enjoyed our experience. Super easy to work with. We had originally booked two nights, and ended up cancelling the second one - and wish we would have done two nights here with them. Although this is a “standard” camp, we felt that the beds were comfy and warm, the tents clean. The showers were simple, but warm. The camp felt intimate in a good way. What we especially liked is that we were more distanced from the other camps so we felt like we had more space to ourselves. The price is fair and straightforward- we did not have this straightforward experience with a few other places we looked at. The camel ride was just under an hour and a half (perfect)but our guide stopped for good pictures with the sunset. I would send my friends back here 1,000 times. Loved this better than the luxury camp we booked- so if you’re looking don’t hesitate. We really felt it was a perfect desert camp experience.

Guides are the absolute best. Great cultural and educational experience! Rode around the desert at night with a couple of the guides and was able to meet some locals and their elders. Safe, Friendly and awesome experience all around.

Volveremos en otro momento y sin duda con el mismo guia. ———— The experience was incredible. Rachid was punctual and attentive throughout the tour, as well as kind and generous. We took a tour of local places where there were not many tourists and he explained everything to us in detail. He was watching over us the entire time. We will return another time and without a doubt with the same guide.

It was an amazing sunset experience with the jeep on the dunes! We had fun like children at the rides and excited at the wonderful spectacle of the desert at sunset. Our driver Rajad was very courteous, sociable and nice, also, since we had forgotten the phone for photos, he made it with his and well. We will always remember this beautiful and intense experience.

Overall, being in the desert was a once in a lifetime experience that I’m really glad we did. Being from the US, the dunes of the Sahara foothills were unlike anything we’d seen before. It was also awesome to get to ride a camel. It was an unforgettable experience. We rode about 1.5 hours on a camel (not the most comfortable but super cool!), arrived at our camp (there were lots of other camps around, ours being the most basic but that’s what we’d paid for so it was expected), and were served some tea. After some time we ate a Moroccan dinner of tajine, then spent some time at a drum circle at a nearby camp. Finally we tried to sleep in the tent which was basic but nice. The challenge sleeping was the heat, but that was to be expected given we were there in August! It was about 85°f at night and it was hard to get airflow in the tent. In the morning we woke up and watched the sunrise from camp before heading back on our camels and arriving around 8:30am to Merzouga. That being said, our hosts on this tour in particular were not the most attentive. I’m not sure if we chose the wrong group to go with or if it would have been similar across the board, but we did not get much engagement from our hosts. It felt like we got what we paid for while the people next door with nicer tents may have had a more engaging experience. For example, we were told there would be a drum circle after dinner, but they did not tell us that it had started at the camp next door and that we should not expect our own. In the morning, we were told there would be a hike up the dunes to see the sunrise, but no one from the camp was around when we woke up at 6 as advertised, so we walked around a bit ourselves. The guides appeared to do the minimum to keep us comfortable and kept to themselves. In the end it was a worthwhile experience that we are very happy we got to do, but it may be worth upgrading or choosing a different group to do the tour with.

I had an amazing experience in the Merzouga Desert, thanks to the incredible hospitality and service from rachid . From the stunning dunes to the unforgettable camel ride at sunrise, everything was perfect. The host's warmth and knowledge of the desert made the trip truly special. It's been a phenomenal journey. We spent two nights in the desert, when there was not a moment of boredom. The tour was guided by Rachid, an experienced Guide, very open and always smiling. Rachid showed us very interesting villages, took us to places we would never have reached without him. The tents we slept in were very nice and the bathrooms clean. In short, it has been an unforgettable experience, with the best Guide😁 See you next time!

Together with my family we had an amazing time during this trip. We had the best tajin and our guide Rachid was always kind and attentive. I’ve never seen the stars shine so beautifully as on the desert. I would definitely recommend this trip, it’s a one of a kind experience!

Wonderful experience guided by Rachid, one of the best desert guides for his kindness and always attentive to our needs. We hiked on camels and spent the night in the jaimas where we could have a great time and disconnect completely in a magical place. We will definitely repeat!

One of the best camps to stay in the Sahara desert and also magical place surrounded by the dunes ,where you can feel the silence of the desert and live an authentic experience,the camp they have many activities that you can do ,we likeed most doing Buggy trip to explore the depth of the desert,it was really amazing I recommend every desert visitor to try it, Rachid who was our guide and our coordinator is so kind and knowledgeable guy ,the rooms in the camp were so clean and large,they have private bathrooms,the meals are very tasty, honestly I highly recommend them as hosts and their place to tay and experience desert activities We are gonna be back!thank you for everything guys
