Merzouga Desert Morocco

Erg Chebbi the beautiful orange sand site is an extremely commercial and noisy place. If you like riding on the dunes by motorcycle or buggy or 4x4 go there. If you like the quiet and you want to ride on a dune without engine noise this is impossible no matter what time of sunrise at sunset. In addition you are constantly stopped on the road by tour operators. They follow you and chase you wherever you are. We moved away with our campervan but impossible to be quiet. Tourists come to stick to your vehicle with their SUV and wait for you to get out. Hell.... Not a minute of peace. We left very upset. On the other hand if you can make Erg ChGaga the white desert it is of absolute calm only the step of camels.....

Erg Chibi is a beautiful place to discover the dunes of the Sahara. The sunsets are amazing and the sand is soft and golden. Ideal for a camel ride, quad bike ride or just relax and admire the scenery.

Nice experience riding the dromedary, we waited for the sunset on the dunes, the drivers took pictures of us. Recommended without a doubt

The desert is a beautiful thing relaxing golden fine sand A pleasure to walk in barefoot, we slept in a field with very nice tents and with the moon lighting up the desert

I have always dreamt about Sahara Desert, and I was not disappointed. Amazing time with a wonderful tour. Best thing the way to the camp by dromedar. Once in a lifetime experience!

It is a small desert area with very beautiful red dunes in a perimeter area of the Moroccan Erg. Attractive but limited. Much exploited with a considerable amount of tented camps located to the east in the part not accessible by car on paved roads. In August the experience is better because, despite the considerable temperatures both during the day but often also at night, it is less frequented by mass tourism.

After stopping in Merzouga for a mint tea we ventured into the desert through the dunes, on top of our Toyota 4x4, and took possession of our tent in the tented camp Ksar Bisha. Beautiful colorful and cozy. Mohammed Moujane our exceptional guide took us with a 4x4 through the dunes to see the sunset .. a couple of dream hours. The desert takes you .. and never leaves you. Upon return an excellent typical Berber dinner in the camp. In the morning camel over two hours x get to the big dune x see the sun rise. Not to be missed. After returning and a hearty breakfast , the great Mohammed, took us back to merzouga x resume our journey. Two unforgettable days.

Watch the sunset sit atop one of the thousands of dunes in this desert, and at night listen to Berber music under an incredible blanket of stars. The camps are like an oasis, as they respect the environment, adapting to it and creating a very exotic Mood.
