Fun Experience

We had such a wonderful experience on this tour. Ben (our guide) has a wealth of knowledge about all types of sports. His impressive background and credentials really add to the experience. He was engaging, informative and made the tour enjoyable for everyone. So glad we did this tour and would definitely recommend it!

Thank you Ben

Ben had great personal stories and worldly knowledge about tennis, football and cricket. Truly passionate for his hometown of Melbourne. Walking tour with several stops. Moderate distance.

It was ok

I was hoping for a bit more tennis themed and maybe a hat or a ball or token of some description. And to play on one of the outlying courts for the price

Good!

Catherine was really good with us, she is very passionate about her job and you can see that. I think the price is a little bit too expensive for the tour but still is great, more if you are a tennis fan.

Visiting Melbourne Park - Tennis Experience

I can highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves sports, and especially to tennis fans. The pickup at the agreed meeting point (near Transport Hotel) worked smoothly and without any problems. Together with our guide Ben, we were able to visit all the major sports venues in Melbourne Park. We even had the opportunity to play tennis on the public courts near Rod Laver Arena, which have a deep-blue surface. Afterwards, we had a short group photo shoot in the Kia-Arena. Unfortunately, it was not possible to visit the inside of Rod Laver Arena, as it is a multi-purpose venue rather than a dedicated tennis stadium. We then continued to the former Olympic site, where we learned a great deal about Australian sports, particularly Australian Football. The tour ended at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Our guide knew a lot about each of the sports venues and provided us with plenty of interesting information and background. Thank you for this amazing experience.

Thanks. I first met Michael when he joined our tennis team. Not only is he a fantastic tour guide he is one of the funniest dudes I’ve ever played tennis with. I agree; he’s a good egg.

Informative tour

This was a great your, and good alternative way to see and learn more about Melbourne beyond what typical tours give. Our guide was great and very informative. The only feedback is give is the description could be more clear - this tour includes a fair amount of time playing on the courts and it doesn't include a tour inside the rod laver arena.

Operator response

Thanks for the feedback. We do try to emphasise that this isn’t a stadium tour of Rod Laver Arena in our descriptions but we will review again and try to make it clearer. Part of that description is that a tour of Rod Laver Arena would be pointless as it is not a tennis stadium so there is nothing tennis to see. Playing tennis is definitely one of our unique elements of the tour and we’re glad that we still have you a great time.
