We adapte the tour according to your docking times.
Immerse yourself in the beautiful Provence wine region! You will get 2 private visits of high-quality wineries, carefully selected by our wine experts. With your guide and the other guests ( 8 persons maximum in total), discover the best of Provence appellations and learn about the grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault … and the complex art of blending. This wine tour is a great opportunity to taste some of the finest Rosés from Provence but also powerful reds, and aromatic and lively whites.
You will complete your shore excursion by visiting one of the most beautiful Provence towns/cities: Cassis or Aix en Provence or Lourmarin. A great way to sample the local life, go shopping or get a change to enjoy the delicious french food thanks to the restaurant recommendations from your guide!

You'll meet your english-speaking wine expert guide at the Marseille cruise pier. He will drive you in a comfortable & A/C minivan accommodating up to 8 people.
You'll visit 2 wineries along the day, go behind the scenes to learn all about the wine making process while visiting the aging rooms.
Your guide will explain you about the soil, the climate, the grape varieties, the "terroir" but also the picking, the pruning, green harvesting...in a relaxed and educational way.
You'll taste some of the finest Rosés powerful and well-balanced reds, and also aromatic and lively whites. Your guide will teach you how to taste like a pro
You will get about 2h free time to lunch and visit in one of the most beautiful towns/ cities of the area: the charming little port of Cassis, or the picturesque village of Lourmarin or the lively and elegant city of Aix en Provence.
You'll be back to Marseille Cruise Port around 4/4.30pm ( other return time possible - to be defined with you after your booking).

Wine tasting

Such a great tour! Our guide, Eric, contacted us on WhatsApp the morning of the tour to confirm. He was waiting for us right as we got off our cruise ship, very easy! He was very knowledgeable about the area and wines. He was a fantastic guide!

Wonderful Wine Tour
We had the most wonderful day with Jean-Gabriel. He took us to the best wineries and had a wealth of knowledge about wine and wine making which he readily shared with us. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I will definitely look for Jean-Gabriel the next time we are in the area.

A wonderful day of...
A wonderful day of discovery with excellent wines, and what can I say about the Provençal decor! A short stop for lunch in Aix-en-Provence to discover the charm of the area. Very satisfied with our excursion and the guide Eric, who was very attentive.

This was the perfect tour...
This was the perfect tour for our family. Anya was a fantastic guide and took us to two fantastic wineries and then free time in Cassis. We had a fantastic lunch and my wife enjoyed strolling through the shops. Anya was very personable, knowledgeable and just a joy to be around. What a great tour!!

Delightful excursion
Great guide who was also the driver. He was very knowledgeable and patient with questions. The vehicle was extremely clean and his driving was impeccable. We visited two lovely wineries and got to spend a couple of hours in Aix.

Great tour but need better communication as to pick up
Our driver was not at the ship at the scheduled time. No one informed us that he was going to be late so we got nervous and started walking to find him at perhaps another pier all the while trying to get in touch with Viator. We finally got in touch with Viator only to find out he was going to be late. Not a great start to ended up being a fabulous tour.

Best wine tour I could book for my family!
What an incredible company. Provence Wine Tours offered top notch service from the outset, and better than some other wine tour companies that I had communicated with previously. Laura was such a help creating the perfect itinerary for my family's first visit to France and determining what was possible during a short cruise excursion timeline. This was one of the most wonderful tours we’ve ever taken! The wineries were beautiful, family-owned, and the wine was exquisite. Eric was an incredible host. He made us feel welcome, knew the wine, knew history, knew the area, and helped my family tremendously! He kindly cared for my mother - who is in a wheelchair - and did all that he could to ensure that she could participate and feel comfortable. It was magical. Make sure you pick this company over others. They will offer extra support to ensure that you are happy.
