We will be walking inside and through Medina and landmarks such as Koutoubia Mosque, Medina, Jamaa Elfna Square, etc. Go on this cultural journey exploring the streets of Marrakech to the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque. It makes the Mosque’s minaret a landmark for navigating the city. The mosque’s interior is not open to tourists, but you can still take a walk in its garden. As you walk around it, you will learn much about its history and the 5 pillars of Islam, along with other religious matters. From here, we head and continue our exploring adventure by getting deep into the maze and labyrinths of Marrakech Medina. We will touch together with the beauty and the colors of the horseshoe arches, Riads doors, fountains, and much more! During the tour, we will get close as well to Morocco in terms of many issues such as the variety of cultures, people, languages, traditions, economy, political system, and other topics. Such topics would enrich our walking and make it more enjoyable!

The Koutoubia Mosque or Kutubiyya Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakesh, Morocco. The mosque's name is also variable rendered as Jami' al-Kutubiyah, Kutubiya Mosque, Kutubiyyin Mosque, and Mosque of the Booksellers.
Bab Agnaou is one of the nineteen gates of Marrakesh, Morocco. It was built in the 12th century in the time of the Almohad dynasty
The Mellah in Marrakech refers to the area where Jews resided. Living in their own separate quarter meant that they were protected in the Kasbah walls, more easily watched and sure enough, taxed by the government.

The Ben Youssef Madrasa is an Islamic madrasa in Marrakesh, Morocco. Functioning today as a historical site, the Ben Youssef Madrasa was the largest Islamic college in Morocco at its height. The madrasa is named after the adjacent Ben Youssef Mosque founded by the Almoravid Sultan Ali ibn Yusuf.

Very informative, I would recommend doing this on your first full day at Marrakech, made us feel confident navigating the city on our own and we also had a very interesting tour of areas we wouldn't have thought of visiting!

The tour was great and it allowed me to have an idea of the city and then explore by myself the areas I want. If possible make it on the 1st or 2nd day you are in Marrakesh so that you the have time to explore deeper what interests you the most. Jamal is very nice and always ready to explain what you wish. The only upgrade I would make to the experience would be a stop in a cafe... 4 to 5 hours tour without stoping for a drink is a bit exausting. :)

Jamal is a very polite and professional tour guide. We started the tour from our Riad and he took us around Marrakech and explained the culture while crossing the different streets in Médina. We were also lucky that Ibn Youssef School opened after 5 years on the same day of our visit.
