Look up at Marrakech's tallest landmark, the Koutoubia Mosque, with its 65-meter minaret towering over the city. This architectural gem symbolizes the city’s rich heritage. A must-see for visitors to Marrakech.
Pause at the Kasbah, a historic neighbourhood that once served as a fortified royal district. Its narrow streets and traditional architecture offer a beautiful glimpse into the life and heritage of the city’s past. Nearby, you can admire Bab Agnaou, the grand 12th-century gateway featuring intricate stone carvings that historically served as the royal entrance to the Kasbah.
Step into the Saadian Tombs, a 16th-century treasure of Moroccan artistry. These tombs, located near the Kasbah Mosque, showcase the opulence of the Saadian dynasty. Intricate designs reflect the grandeur of Morocco’s past rulers. A fascinating journey into the country’s rich history.
Step into the enchanting Bahia Palace, a 19th-century architectural gem once home to a grand vizier. With its stunning mosaics, lush gardens, and ornate courtyards, it reflects Morocco’s royal heritage. A blend of Islamic and Moroccan design, the palace offers a glimpse into the lavish lifestyle of Morocco’s elite.
Experience the vibrant Jamaa El-Fnaa, Marrakech’s bustling square full of energy and culture. The square is alive with street performers, food stalls, and local vendors, offering a sensory overload.
At the heart of Marrakech lie the bustling souks, where you’ll find a vibrant array of traditional Moroccan handicrafts, spices, medicinal remedies, and local entertainment. It is the perfect place to discover iconic items like babouches, leather goods, garments, pottery, tajine dishes, and silver jewellery. Interesting except for the wait to see the Saadian tomes. It leaves us less time to see the other things. Too bad!
This would be a great way to start your first day in Marrakesh. Our guide Yassine was knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor and kind. He kept the tour interesting and entertaining.
Thank you! We’re so glad you enjoyed your first day in Marrakesh with Yassine, he’ll be happy to hear your kind words!
The group was 12 people, the places to visit with many people which made it difficult to hear the guide. The Palace very neglected and under renovation, Covered with nets which did not allow to see the essence of the place. The guide didn’t speak loudly, it was hard to hear him and I provided little relevant information that Google may be a better alternative for getting informed. The mosque is also under renovation and there was not much to see or explain. I suggest notifying the client about the condition of the places to visit beforehand and bugging the guide.
Gracias por sus comentarios. Lamentamos las dificultades; algunas renovaciones comenzaron recientemente y no fuimos informados con antelación. También tomamos en cuenta sus sugerencias sobre la comunicación del guía para seguir mejorando la experiencia. Esperamos volver a verle pronto.
Unmissable sights in Marrakech. Everyone deserves a visit. Located in a small perimeter, you can easily visit them one after the other over half a day. A beautiful ensemble away from the bustle of the souks and Jefaa El Fna Square
Merci pour votre avis et votre belle note ! Ravi que vous ayez apprécié ces lieux emblématiques de Marrakech. Au plaisir de vous revoir pour d’autres découvertes !
The tour lasted almost 4h by foot and our guide was very insightful. I certainly recommend this experience.
Thank you for your honest feedback. We're happy you enjoyed your tour!
Our tour guide was Ahmad, lovely man and very informative about the history and culture of Morroco. We really enjoyed our time in the group and was made to feel welcome. He offered us perceiving! Nuts! Which we bonded over. Great tour of the local landmarks and beautiful artwork. We have great photos and lovely memories. Please however be mindful when booking a tour to be respectful. Arrive on time, think about others and get involved. It is rude to only think of yourself in a group setting. Ahmad thanks again! May Allah continue to bless you. Inshallah.
Thank you for the lovely review! We're so glad you enjoyed the tour with Ahmad and felt welcomed in the group. He’ll be happy to hear your kind words. Wishing you all the best – Inshallah!
