This was a great trip through Manila's past, covering Intramuros sites from its time under the Spanish up through World War II, and the effects these events had on the populace. Being able to see the exact locations, some still bearing the scars of conflict, was very educational, and our guides shared all kinds of local insights to add to the experience. Great way to spend a day in Manila!

What an amazing company, our flights changed we had to leave a day early, the day we had the tour booked. While spinning to change plans we asked if we could go that afternoon. Without hesitation and one less stress, it was all booked for the same afternoon. We were so great full. We had a very good tour of the Intramuros and Rizal Park with Henry. It was a fascinating introduction to the history and culture of the country and the difficult and often bloodied path to independence. Henry made the tour very interesting.

Arsen gave us an excellent tour of the Intramuros area. He knew his material well and gave good answers for any questions we had. Would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting a tour of the area. The only issue we had was that the contracting company (not Arsen, but the company who books through Viator) needs to explain more clearly that the hotel pickup-guy is NOT the tour guide. When we were first picked up to be driven to Intramuros, our driver (who we thought was our tour guide) was super shy and barely said a word. Better communication of how the day works (from the company) would be a good idea.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review! We're thrilled to hear that Arsen gave you such an excellent tour and that his deep knowledge of Intramuros and clear answers made for a great experience. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words and recommendation to him! We also truly appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the hotel pickup process. We apologize for the confusion at the start of your day—you make a fantastic point. Clear communication is key to a smooth experience, so we will update our pre-tour information to ensure future guests know exactly when they are with a dedicated transfer driver versus when they will meet their local tour guide. Thank you again for helping us improve, and we hope to welcome you back on another tour in the future!
I usually don't write reviews but my experience was too similar to others that customers should know. Tour time was listed as 4 hours, my time with the guide was less than 1.5 hours. The first thing the guide did was have me enter a room and watch a movie for 15 minutes. After a few minutes of walking around the fort he wanted to take a 5 minute break. For some reason we skipped the Baluarte (similar to other reviews). As with other reviews, better to do this on your own.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We would like to clarify that our 4-hour tour duration includes the round-trip travel time between your hotel and the tour sites. Regarding the Baluarte, access is occasionally restricted or closed without prior notice due to special events or maintenance beyond our control. When a site is unexpectedly closed, our guides are instructed to extend time at the remaining attractions to ensure you still get a full experience. That said, we hear you loud and clear regarding the flow of the tour and how the day felt. We will use your feedback to ensure our timing, itinerary details, and site closures are communicated much more clearly to our guests in advance. Thank you again for helping us improve our service.
