Batik is one of the Malaysia's unique art and craft. In this activity, you will have the opportunity to create your your own batik master piece and bring back home. Our instructors will guide you how to use a special tool to draw hot wax on cotton fabric and use brush to paint dye on it. We will guide you how to mix color and create gradient. No experience is needed and you will have fun.

The meeting point is Jadi Batek Gallery is easily accessed with the MRT system. Take the Gate B exit at station Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), turn right to Jalan Delima and walk toward the junction at Jalan Inai. Turn left into Jalan Inai and we are the 5th building on your right hand side after the Villa Inai apartment. Hotel pickup is not part of this experience.

It was an amazing experience. The artists are so experienced and very talented and helpful in guiding the Batik artwork. The art experience itself can be guided with a stencil or free drawing, making it easy to adjust to your own needs and experience (or state of mind). I absolutely enjoyed the experience and my artwork! Felt really proud of myself afterwards- it turns out beautifully regardless of your artistic skills.
I've been travelling to Malaysia for 40 years and have never known about this amazing experience. It was so rewarding creating something from scratch. If I had known exactly what was involved I probably wouldn't have booked purely because I'd think I couldn't do it. Not only did I discover I had a creative side, it was relaxing and I could work at my own pace with help available if I needed it. Our facilitator was patient and so friendly. I would definitely book in again next time I'm in KL and recommend others to at least try this once.
I have no artistic ability but my batik experience was a lot of fun, and the results amazing. I will be framing my batik and it will have pride of place in my home. Our instructor was terrific, and the shop was very interesting also with helpful, friendly staff.
With my third grade child. Even children can do it alone if they learn the ropes. The child was very happy, too, for just under two hours. You can also walk from the pavilion. There were a few cafes around.

This class was an absolute BLAST! I had so much fun doing the first one that I actually signed up to make a second one the same day. The staff was patient and were very skilled teachers, willing to offer whatever level of assistance you requested. Watching the masters create the gorgeous fabrics while the class went on was an extra treat! The store is also filled with an amazing selection of fabrics, scarves, clothes and even batik kits to do at home. I highly recommend visiting the store and signing up for a class (or three) you won’t regret it! You get to take home a very special one-of-a-kind item created by YOU!

Absolutely loved our two hour experience. I’m crafty but my husband isn’t yet he still managed to make a lovely keepsake. Amazing workshop that you can view and very helpful tutor.
Absolutely worth the time and money particularly if you are a crafter. I took my husband, who is not, and he still produced a lovely keepsake.
This was so fun and a great change of pace from sightseeing tours! They made it look so easy and helped us through the whole process. Only drawback was finding out when we got there that if we wanted the piece to be colour fasted and wax removed, it would take another day or so. If we knew that beforehand we could have booked that activity earlier in our stay as we were leaving the next morning.

Booked last minute and didn’t really know what to expect but actually had a great time, the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, helped explain what we had to do and gave us pointers. Spent just over two hours and came away with 4 very professional looking batik handkerchiefs all framed. Even our 7 & 9 year old loved it and were very pleased with what they created
The batik experience was one of my favorite things to do in Kuala Lumpur. The young woman who guided me throughout the process was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable. I *almost* felt like a pro when I was done. Highly recommend.
