Three musketeers in Malaysia

Me and my friends absolutely loved this experience. It was a great start to our trip to Malaysia, it was our first visit and Fiza introduced us to the cuisine with fun and flavour. She’s authentic and really makes it enjoyable. We learned so much and had a great afternoon. I would highly recommend this if you are a foodie. Thanks again, Fiza. Misty, Ninon and Nicole Xxx

This was one of our...

This was one of our favorite experiences in Kuala Lumpur! Fiza was incredibly sweet, personable, and friendly throughout the entire class. She made us feel so welcome and comfortable, and it was really special that she opened her beautiful home to us for such an authentic experience. We had so much fun learning to make Nasi Lemak and Kuih Ketayap from scratch. Everything was delicious, and Fiza was patient, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions along the way. It felt much more personal than a typical cooking class—we genuinely felt like we were guests in someone’s home rather than just participants in an activity. The food, hospitality, and warm atmosphere made this a highlight of our time in Kuala Lumpur. We would absolutely recommend Fiza’s cooking class to anyone looking for an authentic, intimate, and memorable Malaysian food experience!

We Malaysians always love to open our doors to our guests, treat them warmly, and make them feel welcome throughout the experience. It was wonderful having you both with us. I really hope you’ll recreate what you learned when you return home and bring a little taste of Malaysia with you. Again, thank you so much for your kind review. It truly means a lot to us. All the best from Malaysia, and we hope to see you both again next time! Regards, Fizah

Lax cooking

They took my request and made curry laxa! It's easy to understand and you'll get the recipe after you're done, and it looks like you can make it in Japan!

Great family cooking experience

During a multi gen trip with my spouse, in laws and kids, we took this cooking class with Fizah. We prepared curry laksa (our choice out of 4 options given) as well as making Kuih Gula Melaka for dessert. This was a great activity to do together as a family; everyone was able to participate, even our elementary aged kids got in on chopping veggies and spices. It was a great way to learn more about the food culture. The food was delicious and I’m excited to try to recreate the meal when I return home. Would highly recommend this activity.

Enjoyable Authentic & Immersive Experience

Lucky for me, I was treated to a private lesson (booked as a solo traveller) in Fizah’s home! She was so generous with her time, very well prepared and had a lovely, easy-going demeanour. Fizah’s pre-class communication on WhatsApp was excellent, giving (a range of) specific directions to her home and asking for dish preferences (so she could shop for fresh ingredients). The class was well paced, extremely hands on and loaded with tips, info & stories. I chose to make Kuey Teow Goreng & Kuih Ketayap, both awesome choices, and left with a very full belly (and a doggy bag). This class will suit anyone looking for a relaxed, authentic cooking experience based on flavours (not techniques). Go with an empty belly as the portions are very generous and you’ll want to savour every last bite :)

Great cooking class! I felt very welcomed into the home and the whole experience was warm and friendly. The location was easy to find, and even as someone who is not much of a cook, the class was made simple, fun, and enjoyable. The food we made at the end was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend

Amazing Malay Cooking Experience

Amazing Experience! Fizah was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and it was an experience I would highly recommend to anyone interested in food, culture and trying something new. Fizah was extremely knowledgeable and explained every step of the process as we prepared our man meal and dessert. All the ingredients were fresh and the end result amazing for two first time Malay cooks. Definitely worth a try!

Fun Cooking Class

This was the first thing I did in Kuala Lumpur - got to make and try Malaysian food for the first time and it was so much fun. There was only 3 of us so it was not crowded at all and made it even better because our host was able to guide us all. Would highly recommend!

Operator response
