SeaLink offers up to 17 trips a day to Magnetic Island, the ferry terminal in Townsville is located close to the CBD and The Strand and only 12 minutes from the Townsville Airport. You can easily make a day on Magnetic Island or stay for as long as you want, for the best island experience on the east coast of Australia. Return tickets are valid for up to 180 days from purchase, so take your time and enjoy snorkel trails, and hiking trails of the Magnetic Island National Park, home to the largest colony of Koala's in Northern Australia, and a perfect base to explore the GBR.

Booking tickets was easy with the GO BLUE app. It was simple and codes and tickets downloaded. Boarding? Just follow the sheep. No call out. No please go to gate 1. There’s little guidance or information. THAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. Especially given the amount of families & backpackers & tourists on board during the busy holiday season. Trip takes 20 minutes. Simple. Clean. Trip was smooth and onboard safety messages assured us. A good experience but better communication would make it a very good experience.

The trip to Magnetic Island on SeaLink was great. Booking was great and not having to book a specific time when coming from the airport meant less stress if we were delayed. The staff were friendly and made boarding easy.

Great day with excellent staff. We enjoyed the island and seeing koalas in the wild. The ferry was clean and efficient.

Great service and reasonably priced. Nice little cafe to eat at whilst waiting. Ferries are synced with Kinetic Bus lines so easy to plan and get back from the island. Plenty of ferries going back and forth as well.

The ferry we were one both there and back from Townsville to Magnetic Island were clean, extremely comfortable, easy process getting on and off, we had a really good trip both ways.
