Description
We have combined the best Madeira Wine tasting tour in Funchal. The Blandy's wine tour is the best wine experience in Madeira and you'll be taken around the famous wine lodge understanding the history and end up tasting some of the best Madeira wines. (The tour is available also in Spanish, German, Portugese, French, please let us know when booking as these tours are different timings). Option 2 is to combine the Wine tasting with an additional stop to enjoy the best cheeses from a boutique independent cheese shop a few minutes away, so this way you get to experience 3 of the tastiest cheese from portugal with an additional glass of wine (they even have pineapple wine). Option 3 is that you can combine the Madeira wine tour with our very popular Foodie Tour (5 additional stops), to try some amazing tapas, cheeses, pastries and complete the gastronomic day.

Blandy's Wine Lodge
The guided tour of Blandy's Wine Lodge is available from Monday to Saturday, and are suitable for visitors with various levels of wine knowledge, as well as visitors with children. All the tours are accompanied by brand ambassadors, who will walk you through the different areas of the Wine Lodge, share secrets of Madeira wine production and offer a wine tasting at the end of the visit. If you choose the cheese tasting option, after the tour we take you to an artisan cheese shop for a cheese tasting and wine experience. If you choose the Tapas tour we will include 6 more foodie stops for you to enjoy. The tour's are available in Portuguese, English, German, French and Spanish languages.

Let Down
A bit of a let down as I booked for the tour and cheese tasting, Option 2 was confirmed to me. But no show on a cheese stop, not one slice of Velveeta in sight. Tour of Blandy’s and tasting afterward was fine. Interesting history about the Blandy family.

Great experience
A must do if you like Madeira wine. We learned a lot, and the cheese board we added to the experience was a great pair. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere is a quiet corner in the busy Funchal

Good Food, Great Place!
This was a great experience! Self guided tour, so we could go at our own pace. Jaket was fantastic and Neil was a great help! Gave us other restaurant recommendations for our stay in Madeira! All the food we ate on this tour was amazing and I would recommend this for everyone!

Wonderful tastings
The visit to the Blandy wine cellar was great. The guide explained the production process of the typical Madeira wine to us perfectly. With a few touches of humor. The tasting is generous. The follow-up with the meeting with Denis was wonderful. He welcomed us very well and prepared a lovely tasting for us. He then gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip. We obviously left with a few products from his shop

Wine tour and cheese tasting.
Our guide for the wine tour was amazing, very informative. We enjoyed tasting the wine. We didn't realise that the cheese tasting was in a separate place when we booked and on asking at reception at Blandy's about where we needed to go I found the receptionist not very helpful at all and a bit rude. However once we found our own way to the cheese tasting shop the owner Denis was very friendly, welcoming, knowledgable and passionate about the cheeses and wine he served us and it was a pleasant experience that we really enjoyed.

Fun experience
The tour and tasting of 3 Madeira wines were very interesting and educational. Our guide Joanna was knowledgeable. The cheese tasting was pleasantly introduced by manager Denis, a very friendly and welcoming man. Both highly recommended to do in Funchal.
