Samitrip: a tourism provider to avoid absolutely

Coming with family (8 people) for this excursion from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga, we quickly realized that we had been deceived by the director of Samitrip: the van, rather uncomfortable, had difficulties in the hills and had to regularly put water back in the radiator of this vehicle with more than 300,000 km on the meter; we had been promised air-conditioned tents in Merzouga but the site manager told us that Samitrip had only made standard tent reservations contrary to what had been agreed. So a dishonest claimant. Only positive: the driver Mohammed very kind and careful driving.

Sami Trip : Unsavory tourism provider

I strongly advise against this provider. We did 3 days of excursion with Sami trip from Fez to Marrakech via Merzouga and Ouarzazatte for a family of 8 people. The vehicle was uncomfortable, old with more than 300 000 km on the meter. He had difficulties in mountain to climb and it was necessary to regularly put water back in the radiator. We were promised air-conditioned luxury tents in Merzouga. When we arrived the tents were standard without air conditioning and the manager of the camp told me that Sami had not booked for us the tents we had paid for. We have therefore been defrauded by this provider who should not be trusted.

Good experience

We had a great time. The driver, Tarik, was amazing to be around and we enjoyed the tour of the desert as well. Worth the money and time.

Chilling night

The trip could have been perfect if the highlight of the show had not been a supposedly luxurious night in the desert. Overnight at less than 5 degrees in a tent without heating, no hot water for toilet, toilet that does not work forced to flush with a bottle. Door that closes with a branch. The mattresses torn, no sheets on the bed only 2 simple blankets whose cleanliness is more than doubtful. Despite thermal underwear and a very warm outfit, you come out with a good cold that spoils the rest of the journey. I suppose that as Europeans we do not have the same concept of the word luxury more than disappointed with this experience. Nothing matches the photos of the tour operator.

Quality excursion but ...

Almost perfect excursion (transport, accommodation, restaurants, etc.). Only downside, the night in the desert because we are far from the pictures of the camp posted / planned. The entertainment, the camel tour and the Berber meal were fine but it was extremely cold (5° about) in the "tents" and the 2 blankets were not enough even dressed and the mattresses were in very very bad condition. A simple little oil heating to have 12 or 15 degrees would have made the experience unforgettable. Tarik, our guide is great 👍 and made the trip extremely enjoyable. He is always listening and explains many things including Moroccan Muslim and Berber traditions. I recommend this excursion 👏.

Stay Morocco

A very good memory, despite some false notes! Moroccans have a sense of hospitality. The transfer of Fairies to the nights in the desert with our guide Tarik at the top with kindness and good organization. Walk on the camels with nice guides and make you pictures 📷 and videos. Meals type Berbers, on the other hand the night in the desert must be psychologically prepared. Very cold night without heating 5 °, no linen, bedding more than limit (hard mattress and in bad condition). Very nice visits to the gorges, city of rose ..and a night in a beautiful hotel. Then back to Marrakech

SAMITRIP IS HORRIBLE!!!! WAS LEFT STRANDED ON THE STREETS!!! DO NOT BOOK

DO NOT BOOK WITH SAMI TRIPS. Avoid this man at all cost!!!!! We tried contacting him the day before the trip and he answered once and rushed us off the phone. We couldn't even ask what time he wanted us there and I called back 20 times with no answer from him. The day of the tour we checked out of our Air Bnb and even though we got no response from him regarding timing we just went with what the website said. We waited two hours with no response and no communication. We called the booking agency and he lied saying "his car was broken down". The booking agency then offered us a next day tour but we had no accommodations for the night and this would interfere with our hotel dates that we booked after our tour. Luckily another company found us and offered to put us on their tour. If it wasn't for them we would've never been able to do the tour. I am so grateful for the new tour company and we ended up having a great trip. Our new tour guide informed us that they are always left cleaning up the mess from samitrip. He is a horrible person to just leave so many travelers stranded and NO ONE SHOULD EVER BOOK WITH HIM EVER!!!!

DO NOT GO WITH THEM

We had a tour book for NY on GetYourGuide, and they cancelled last minute, saying the rain past days has damaged their camp. There hasn't been any rain, many other tour guides confirmed it, and at one point, another guide confirmed that all luxury camps weee fully booked. So they lied to us and overbooked themselves.
