We had a really great time! It was very unique in the sense that the production had a storyline showcasing Hawaiian culture and we really appreciated that.

Description
Kaula is a story-based luau, put on by Hawaiian Council to tell authentic Hawaiian stories. With a focus on fun and entertainment, you're part of the show from the moment you arrive until the last high energy note fades and the sound of the ocean takes back the night. It may be Hawaii's story, but we built the experience around you. The unique eat-when-you-want format allows you to skip long buffet lines, and eat when you're ready. The interactive activities are also unlike any others: wandering performers, friendly competitions, cultural lessons, and (voluntary) singalongs combine to make sure you leave with a smile and a generous serving of aloha.

Kaula is a story of music, dance, and wisdom shared between kupuna (grandmother) granddaughter. Together, they embark on a voyage of discovery — traversing oceans and generations to uncover their family’s genealogy from Tahiti, Samoa, and Hawaiʻi. This isn’t just a performance; it’s a celebration of who we are and where we come from, told through the eyes of those who carry these stories in their hearts. Where we come from features in our menu, too, if you choose a ticket which includes dinner. Featuring locally sourced ingredients and authentic family recipes, the delicious all-you-can-eat dinner is served from our buffet. Even our cocktails feature locally sourced spirits and ingredients. You won't get bored at Kaula, either -- we offer a variety of cultural and fun activities for all!

The BEST luau
I don’t have anything to compare it to but I would guess this luau won’t be topped. The story is great, the food was delicious, and overall just set a really great tone for our first HI trip. The location was a very nice reprieve from chaotic Waikiki. If you’re on the fence about the VIP and/or transportation packages - just do it! So fun and 100% worth it.

Food and drinks were excellent, we really enjoyed the show. Your staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend your show to my friends and family!!! MAHALO !! This was one stop on the island we did as part of our honeymoon. .

Best Luau!!
Best luau we have been to!!! We absolutely loved the pre show interaction with the cast as they taught us how to toss a fire stick, play drums and catch fish! Dinner was fantastic and the show was amazing!!! Cast was exceptional! Would definitely go again!

Wonderful and entertaining. I suggest you do the transportation package. Its kinda far. Everything was 5 stars. Only complaint is they didnt have pig (pork) to eat?

Top notch show and absolutely amazing performance
The show was well scripted, the story engaging, the performance top notch and the finale breathtaking. A must see and would absolutely see it again next time we visit Hawaii!!!!

Great for families
Great atmosphere the activities before were really great for the kids. They liked the temporary tattoos, and the lessons teaching them how to drum, hula, twirl sticks, and throwing fishing nets. The food in the buffet was delicious and plentiful. The chicken was especially tasty.

Outstanding event. The food was tasty and the show was amazing. Definitely recommend! Authentic and very energetic. Loved the local musicians.
