We'd been at The Shard and decided to take an Uber Boat to Westminster. I'm sure they told us if we used contactless the price would be £11 something but I've just checked and they took over £16. We were near the front of the queue and waited 30/35 minutes for a boat. When it arrived only about 4 people were allowed on (even though there were plenty of seats available) and they said the rest of us had to wait for the next one which would be 10 minutes. It was 20 minutes before the next boat arrived at which point we had been waiting nearly an hour. The staff were grumpy and saying we had to stand against the wall even though we were nowhere near the gate and were not blocking anyone. Overall just a poor experience and I would not recommend. They need to do better. It could have been a good experience because the boat itself was fine and we enjoyed the trip down the river once we were on there. Drinks prices were at total of £8 something for a coke, a sprite, and a water which I thought was OK (with a captive audience it could have been worse). Staff at the bar were much nicer than on the pier.
We took a boat early evening when the sun was setting. A beautiful view on London that includes all the relevant architecture and highlights along the river and a great atmosphere!
Sailed from Westminster to Hampton Court, took four hours due to low tide. Weather was brilliant and the views were even better, what a lovely part of the river! The captain gave a brief tour guide as we went along. Lovely staff. Food and drink were available. We went through two locks that was a first for us, amazing how they operate. Stopped at Kew, Richmond and Hampton Court. Train station was five minutes walk to return or could have returned by boat. Enjoyed it so much we have planned to revisit again in 2027!

Easy to book and use the tickets, price is very attractive and we booked the tickets just right on the pier before travelling so definitely recommend!
Disastrous. We waited more than 30min for our boat. When it arrived it was full. Nobody warned us that the boat could be full. The next one did not arrive until 20 later. We had tickets for the London Eye and could not wait. We had to leave without riding the boat and pay for a taxi and on top of that they did not refund our ticket money.

Booked family plus two adults for 130£ Described as all day hop on hop off . Waited hours for room on a boat , long queue and infrequent service. Better off spending money on black cabs and getting around quicker.

Travelled from Cutty Sark to Battersea Power Station and saw many sights along the river which we wouldn't have seen from underground. Decent chance to rest our weary legs!

Rip off! Charged more on the boat just because the ticket booth was not open, the ticket machine was out of order and the website was not working. We travelled at 9.30am so why we couldnt buy a ticket at the cheaper rate before travelling? I definately will not travel with Uber again and I dont recommend.

My family and group of friends had pre booked a single Uber boat from Tower pier to Battersea. We were getting the 11.28 so we would arrive for our 1pm lunch booking in Battersea in very good time. What we didn't realise was the timetable isn't fixed and spaces on boats at peak times is not guaranteed. We ended up on a boat an hour later. Communication for passengers was minimal, brusque or confused. We were told to wait one side of the Quay, with no space like we were cattle and with no seats, then we were yelled at to move to the other end. Staff seemed fraught, stressed and rude. This part of our planned day out was disappointing and stressful. The wait was around an hour with many boats arriving but saying they were full and leaving again. This was tiring and hot with nowhere to rest - not good for those needing a seat. Once on the boat it was very full and chaotic. There weren't seats together, however things settled and improved. When passengers got off at the next stop, more seats became available. Because of the chaos and pushy vibe getting on, passengers seemed to have the same pushy vibe towards each other on the boat, grabbing seats etc. Again this did settle down. As we travelled further west the boat quietened down and became more relaxed and pleasant. Seats outside and inside are comfortable, especially those inside. Views are great and the boat whips along the Thames nicely passing amazing buildings and scenery. On a beautiful day it's special to be on the water. I'd say it's expensive for what it is and better to go for the longest stretch possible to make it a worthwhile journey. I urge Uber to look at how they treat and manage passengers when they arrive at the quays and urge them to give more info about the irregularity of service and busyness of boats at peak times. This would have helped us plan better and enjoy it more. I don't remember the Thames Clippers being so chaotic to get on in the past. I wonder if the service has gone downhill. I'd probably look at other boat services another time.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the river journey itself and the views along the Thames. However, we're sorry that your experience at the pier and during boarding did not meet expectations.
