We descend into the remains of London’s Roman amphitheatre, once the heart of entertainment in Londinium. Here, I’ll explain how gladiatorial games were held, what the arena looked like, and how it connects with the medieval Guildhall above
We explore the reconstructed Temple of Mithras, hidden beneath Bloomberg’s headquarters. With immersive light and sound, this unique site reveals the mysterious Roman cult of Mithras and its importance to life in Londinium.
We stop at one of the best-preserved stretches of the Roman Wall, close to the former Museum of London. I’ll explain how Londinium was fortified nearly 2,000 years ago, why the wall was built, and how it shaped the city’s growth through the ages.

The Roman past of London is a bit hidden and our host was a keen history buff who makes it come alive. I am not going to spoil it but a section of the Roman wall is in the most unexpected places in the City.... On top of that, our guide is a funny character and we had a great time (you will too!).
