Itinerary
Whilst in Piccadilly your guide will explain the significance of some of the beautiful historic buildings, as well as what most London guidebooks have got wrong about the famous statue of 'Eros'
After walking down Piccadilly we will quickly stop to admire Burlington House, home to the Royal Academy of Arts plus several of London's royal societies including the Royal Society of Chemistry who have a very surprising honourary member.
As we drive down St James's Street, your guide will explain some of the amazing stores that have called St James's Street home, including the tobacconist to Royalty and Prime Ministers, a hatter's shop that you'd be mad to miss and a right royal liquor store. Whilst here, should you wish, you will have a chance to shop in some of the most prestigious shops in London, and if you wish, purchase some items of the very highest quality.
St James' Palace is the oldest of the Royal palaces still standing in London today. Originally a hunting lodge for Henry VIII, today it stands largely empty but serves a very important purpose in the planning of the state funeral and coronation of our monarchs.
As we drive from St James's Palace to Green Park, we will stop off at St James's Place and look at the childhood home of Sir Winston Churchill. Here, your guide will give you a quick history of Sir Winston and his involvement with London both as Prime Minister and as a private citizen.
Buckingham Palace is the London home of British Royalty since the reign of Queen Victoria, one of Britain's most famous Queens. Now home to Queen Elizabeth II, the most famous Queen in the world, the tour will take you to see this beautiful palace and, depending on the time of year and day of your booking, the world-famous Changing of the Guard. Please note that the Changing of the Guard takes place every day during June and July and on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between August and May. Please also be aware that the Changing of the Guard can be cancelled at late notice due to poor weather or security alerts.
As we drive up the Mall, famous for being the site where crowds gather for royal and state events such as Royal Weddings and Jubilee celebrations, your guide will explain the history behind the famous name, the interesting addition to the local wildlife and how film and TV crews often flood the area - who knows you might also get to see one of the crews setting up, taking down or even filming a scene!
Whitehall is the home of the UK's government. As you drive down Whitehall, our guide will tell you all about the various government departments, the statues of famous faces and the memorials to the brave men and women who made great sacrifices during the First and Second World Wars.
As you drive around Parliament Square your guide will tell you all about the significance of the square and the figures that surround it, as well as the numerous internationally important buildings nearby that include Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.
As you drive from the City of Westminster to the City of London, your guide will point out some of the many historic buildings that line the route. This exact route will depend on traffic on the day, but there will always be plenty to see as your driver/guide takes you over to St Paul's Cathedral. Once at St Paul's, you will hear about the history of this impressive architectural masterpiece, about the man who designed this iconic Cathedral, and the area's 2000-year history.

Dewi and our driver gave us a fantastic tour of the highlights of London as well as some specific areas of interest (James Bond and Spice Girls history and locations). They really made the day special for us and were so accommodating of last-minute requests for stops, etc. They were delightful to spend a few hours with and the taxi was so clean and comfortable. It’s clear Dewi and our driver were incredibly knowledgeable and wanted us to have a great time. Definitely recommend!

Dewi was an incredible guide for a day of sightseeing in London. He managed to keep the day exciting and appealing to a huge family group ages 2 years up to 78 years, and ensured physical accessibility when needed. We saw the Tower of London, changing of the guards, Regent Street, etc etc. Dewi was a font of pop culture, historical, and political knowledge. He was a joy to spend the day with!

Super nice trip and really well entertained. Good beer along the way. Tom was a fun way g good telling about London and the 4 pubs we visited
We had an amazing time on our tour with our guide James. He was a great guide, one of the best that we had in London. He picked us up after our Tea at Fortnum and Mason and it was clear from the moment we met, that he was going to be great fun and very professional. He was warm, witty, and very knowledgable about the usual sites and sounds of London, like Buckingham Palace, as well as some hidden places that we would have otherwised missed. My wife loved Postman's Park. James was patient with all our son's questions, and he was able to tell us some 'adult' information about being a cab driver in london, having distracted our son with various challenges. Would highly recommend!
Sue was incredible, very knowledgeable and pleasant. A total professional!! We will book her again the next time when we are back in town!
Wonderful taxi tour with the lovely Richie! Knowledgeable, fun, and very friendly he was a fantastic ambassador for London. He showed us the important landmarks and places that very few people know about.
We did the private 3 hour tour of London and had such a great time with John! He was very knowledgeable and took us in a couple of shops where we picked out some wonderful mementos. I recommend this fun filled London tour!
We had an amazing time with John on our tour. He was knowledgeable, fun, and showed us parts of London that we would never have seen before. His cab was clean and well kept and we'd have loved to spend some more time with him! It was great to meet a real 'Londoner' and hear his tales of being a black cab driver whilst we travelled between the historic sites. We'll definitely book another tour next time we are in London.
