Amazing lllama adventure and story
They coordinated an airport pick up with Juan Carlos and started the adventure. The llama hiking to a scenic view was amazing. Then we learned about how they clean and color the llama hair to make thread and then clothes. The 30+ women coop is an amazing group we could not help but support.

Most amazing experience in Machu Colca!! Andean Colors.
Miguel was an amazing guide. Very informative and patient. Super talkative and personable. His crew was also very cool. The little man on the page had the most amazing manners. The llamas were very docile and easy to walk with. If you get Tomas, you’re going to be trekking nicely. Thank you Miguel and crew!!!! Wouldn’t come back to Peru without visiting you guys again!!! Great tour!!!!

Good people
Our visit to this site was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. Seeing the llamas up close was a fantastic experience—they have such great character and made for some incredible memories (and photos!).
What truly set this visit apart, however, was the team running the site. They were incredibly helpful and informative, sharing deep insights into the animals and the local culture. Their passion and welcoming nature made the environment feel authentic and educational. If you are looking for a place that combines beautiful scenery with great hospitality and charming animals, don’t miss this!

Excellent experience at this special place that supports unwed mothers. After feeding the llamas and alpacas we had a demonstration of how wool is cleaned and dyed. Super interesting and well worth the visit!

5 Stars
Our guide met us with ponchos and hats to protect us from the light rain. Then we met our alpacas! Mine had a name that started with a V but my sister’s didn’t. We came up with the perfect name for her. They kept it! After our meditative walk through the Andes we went to a home where Hilda started the Andean Colors collective. I really connected with her story. We had a private teaching of the textiles and then bought some items from their store. We had the best peach tea! Aside from the light rain and mud it was a lovely experience. They even helped us get roundtrip transportation!

A dream of an experience
So impressed! 10 out of 10 recommend. This was an epic, authentic experience and perfect for my 11, 18 and 21 year old. The activity guides were well-prepared, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We were able to take a long one-hour walk with the llamas up the mountainside and down through the local community. At the end of the walk we were able to feed the llamas and alpacas. The last part of our experience was learning about the authentic textiles and coloring process, while also engaging with the pet-like baby goats, Billy and Linda. Cannot say enough good things about this experience, start to finish.

Thank you so much for your amazing words!
We are truly delighted to know that you and your family enjoyed the whole experience — from walking with our llamas through the mountains and community, to sharing time with our alpacas, and finally discovering the magic of our ancestral textile and coloring process.
It makes us especially happy that your children of different ages all had a memorable time, and that Billy and Linda also brought some smiles to your visit. 🐐💚
Your recommendation means the world to us. We hope to welcome you back again anytime for more Andean adventures!
Warm regards,
Marco & the Andean Colors Team
