Description
A small-group day from Ljubljana to Lake Bled and Triglav National Park, with a licensed local guide and up to 8 guests. Your afternoon, your choice. Lake Bled first, and properly: four hours for the lakeshore walk, the pletna boat to the island if you like, the castle above the water, and lunch with the Julian Alps as the backdrop. Then the day splits by the option you book. Triglav National Park: your guide drives the Radovna Valley under Mount Triglav to Kranjska Gora, Lake Jasna and the Zelenci springs. Free afternoon at Bled: swim, rent a SUP, ride the summer toboggan or hike above the lake, on your own. Rafting or zipline: an adventure with licensed activity guides, fee paid separately, we reserve your spot. Bled options are picked up at 17:00 at the Bled bus station; everyone is back in Ljubljana by early evening. Max 8 in a comfortable minivan, not a big coach. Admissions optional, prices shared upfront. Same local team since 2011, official Gray Line Slovenia licensee.

Itinerary
Four hours at the lake, and no rushing: the shoreline walk with the Julian Alps behind the water, the pletna boat to the island church if you like, Bled Castle on its cliff, a slice of the famous cream cake, and lunch before the afternoon begins.
Triglav National Park option: the road through the Radovna Valley runs under the north face of Mount Triglav, a route most visitors never find, with your guide all afternoon.
Triglav National Park option: Kranjska Gora, the Alpine town at the top of the Sava valley, base for the short walk to Lake Jasna.
Triglav National Park option: a short walk to Lake Jasna, two small lakes of clear green water with the Julian Alps straight behind them and the bronze Zlatorog on the shore.
Triglav National Park option: Zelenci, the spring where the Sava rises through a turquoise pool, crossed by boardwalks. Return towards Ljubljana around 16:30. Guests on the Lake Bled options are collected at 17:00 at the Bled bus station on the way home.

- The tour departs with 2 or more guests booked, guaranteed. Only if you are the single remaining traveler on a date, for example after another group cancels late, we will offer you an alternative departure or a full refund.
- Not wheelchair accessible.
- Please keep in mind that there are quite a few stairs at the Bled island and Bled castle, but you would do that in a fairly slow pace.

- Four afternoon options are bookable: Triglav National Park (guided), Free afternoon at Bled (self-guided), Rafting at Lake Bled or Zipline at Lake Bled (licensed activity guides, fees paid separately, we contact you with details after booking). Bled options: pickup back to Ljubljana at 17:00 at the Bled bus station.
- On the Lake Bled afternoon options there is no tour guide in the afternoon; the guided part is the morning. The Triglav National Park drive belongs to the Triglav National Park option only.

Too little time at Bled Island and Bled Castle. Felt very rushed. No need to stop at the man made lake. That was a complete waste of 40 minutes. Would be better to include Bohinj with a gondola experience. Driver was great and very knowledgeable.

The day follows a set route with the stops listed upfront, the lake included, so guests can see the plan before booking, and your note on how long we linger where is genuinely useful as we weigh it up. Bohinj with a gondola makes a lovely day too, on a different itinerary. It all helps us keep improving the day, so thank you for that.

This tour is very pricey. Our guide Luca was very chatty and easy going. With hindsight, I would have booked a different tour. Perhaps Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj. However, we were keen to drive through the Triglav Mountains - which this tour offers. Lake Bled was disappointing because it was overcrowded with tourists - thus preventing us from enjoying the beauty and serenity of the area. But, of course, this is to be expected in Aug. We too also contributed to that crowd. Luca was a great guide. Friendly and helpful. He loved to chat. Overall - Slovenia is a breathtakingly beautiful country.

On the cost, the admissions are optional and listed upfront, so guests can shape what they spend across the day. You put it fairly on Bled in August too, the crowds are real at peak season, and a quieter lake is exactly where Bohinj shines, a good instinct for a return trip. We are glad the drive through the Triglav mountains gave you what you came for, and that Slovenia left such a strong impression overall. All the best for the next adventure.
We had a guide named Luka who was very positive and helpful. We enjoyed the beautiful nature of Slovenia and even had time to swim in Lake Bled. So this trip is more about the nature, being outside and exploring.

Fantastic experience. Our guide Jan was so chill and equally loved The Strokes which was a plus as we got to listen in the van ride. Got to spend lots of time in each stop and Lake Bled was stunning. My only gripe is I wish we got to see a higher view of Triglav but overall a great experience.

This was a very well designed trip getting to two different areas of great scenic beauty and some interesting side stops as well, in a way one could never have done on ones own. Compared to similar trips I have done in Italy and Greece it was somewhat expensive. The guide was well informed on the sites and sights we went to see however he overdid his role with comments of a political nature which were unwarranted and which as an historian myself, were not always accurate. However I wished to avoid confrontation and remained silent. This marred what would otherwise have been a splendid outing.

Absolutely professional and wonderful. Central pickup (you can use the restroom at the hotel across the street). The guide shared everything there is to know through a radio microphone in the van (up to 8 people). We now know everything about the land and its people, from the past and present. At the beginning, he shared the plan with us and left us all the freedom. In Bled: Castle, boat, lake, or more. None of our group wanted the boat. Some got off at the castle and had 1 hour there and 1.5 hours at the lake to walk around. I walked around the lake for 3 hours and thought it was too long, but it was perfect. We were in contact via WhatsApp regarding possible changes to the plan. After that, at the next stop, there was 1 hour for eating or strolling as desired. He gave us tips on where to find things, and everyone could do what they wanted. After that, it continued like this. He brought us to the next stop, told us, and said where we could go. I found it to be an absolutely well-rounded tour.

We had a fantastic day out travelling around and seeing the beautiful lakes and mountains of Slovenia. We had plenty of time available at each location and our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Lake Bled and Bled castle are a must!
