This tour was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Nuno and Juan were excellent guides - they were warm, friendly, entertaining and we felt completely safe during the tour with them. We even stopped to visit a cave with a tiny church inside (optional but at no extra cost). This was a very memorable experience. Do this tour! And please, tip your tour guides. They absolutely earn it.
Very nice team, good welcome, great picnic meal. Kayak in a very pleasant setting.
The guides were very friendly and always in a good mood, the kayaking was great and the food was also nice, overall a great experience
Incredible day with the kindest, funniest guide. The day was beautiful and the pic was so delicious. Would 10/10 recommend this to others!
Great and knowledgeable guides, good picnic food, beautiful landscape. Easy paddle instructions and all gear and needs are provided for
Okay, you have to do this tour. It was amazing. Toni and Nunu were fantastic guides. Everything was a smooth experience and they taught us alot. It began with a meeting in Lisbon. The Uber driver found the pickup point easily. We were greeted by Nunu with the most littlest cup of coffee. That was fun. Toni drove us out to Setubal to a beach I cannot pronounce. While Nunu took the gear in another vehicle. I would recommend river or water shoes for this expedition. There are a few rocks that others on our tour with bare feet could not handle. They had to run back to the van to grab their flip flops. The lunch was so plentiful. I felt bad that I only wanted one sandwich as they planned for most of us to eat a ton. They set up a sunshade so we could get away from the sun and enjoy a wonderful picnic. An exciting moment happened when a lady in our group caught 2 seahorses in her hands. Amazing! I have a few pic to share. They do not do this beautiful place justice. Toni and Nunu offered pics they take via airdrop. If only I had an Iphone. The water is so clear. You can see the bottom at least 100 ft deep. Beautiful jelly fish floated by as we kayaked along the coast. Just wanted to say thank you Toni and Nunu!! Well done! I loved every minute of it and hope to return.
From start to finish myself and my son had an amazing experience. Our two guides were so knowledgeable and also great fun. The location was stunning. We stopped at a beautiful beach for lunch, the guys put on a fabulous spread for us. The whole group interacted and had a great laugh. Recommend 100%
The actual kayaking experience and the location was amazing and we loved it. We saw a beautiful cave, a small tiny beach which felt private where we had lunch and relaxed. So I would recommend kayaking as an activity. Though if you are not willing to put in the physical work, this isn’t for you because you need to be somewhat strong/fit for this. Let me now speak about the hosts Joao and Nuno. Joao took us in his van to the location to kayak and I’ve never heard so many offensive things and swear words come out of someone’s mouth. As a customer, you need someone who is at least a little bit professional. He was telling us some really private things about himself that he should not disclose to anyone. We’re from the UK and he went on a rant about how much he doesn’t like British people which is funny when you say it once but when you go on a rant, it starts to become annoying. Joao and Nuno also kept bullying their intern that came along the trip with us which was so weird and uncomfortable for everyone to see. The only time we even learnt anything useful about the history was from the intern when he was talking about the cave we were in. That other guy Nuno, was erratic and annoying. I’m sure there’s some people who think they are cool people but I can speak for most of us there that day, it wasn’t them who made the experience enjoyable, it was the sport itself that made it. P.s. Joao at one point said that “so many indians” come to Portugal to become Uber drivers and come here for the passport - let’s not forget that Portugal colonised parts of India and many other countries first so if people are coming here for a better life, you need to have more respect. Also, don’t say things like that to your customers, it’s just not cool.
Before departure, we had an espresso. The trips between Lisbon and the beach were entertaining. There were more than enough drinks and food throughout the day. Kayaking newbies and those who are not very sporty were taken into consideration. Our sporty teens had a lot of fun on the tour itself. In addition to kayaking, the guides played with everyone on the beach; they had the appropriate equipment with them and provided plenty of shade. Everything was taken care of, including photos, music and a good mood. We had fun and would book everything again in the same way.
The guides who led the tour were organized, funny and made the the whole experience that much more enjoyable. The scenery and beach was beautiful. Everything that we expected and more.
