We are e-bike riders so we really enjoy this way of experiencing a new city and getting tips for places to eat and things to do from a local. When we arrived for our tour we ended up being the only ones, hence a great private tour with Juan. Juan showed us all the different neighborhoods in Lisbon, took us to high points for great views and hidden hems along the way. He also gave us a great list of places to see and eat in Lisbon.
Powerful e-bikes get you up the hills and Rafa does a great job of leading you thru some chaotic hills and traffic when not in bike lanes
The best way to see a lot of Lisbon! The e-bikes were LIFESAVERS! Without the assist there’s no way the average person could conquer the hills of Lisbon! You’re still biking, you have to pedal and use the bike gears, but the electric motorbike gives you an incredible boost! Our guide DIOGO was great! He had a great sense of humor, was laid back and fun loving, but in charge of the group in a natural friendly way. He was full of stories and legends of the history of Lisbon, from the beginnings with the Phoenicians, to the Moors to the Christian crusaders to modern independence in 1974. Diogo took time with each guest, and the group getting to know each other and was interested in each persons background. At the end of the tour he provided suggestions for authentic Portuguese food and activities. An easy 5 star tour!
We had a wonderful time seeing the sights around Lisbon up close. The E-bikes were easy to use and made ascending the hills of Lisbon a breeze. Our guide gave an excellent introduction to the city and its history. The tour was a great complement to van-based tours we also enjoyed.
Diago was an amazing guide. He gave us the time to explore and was full of information and had so much interesting facts about everything we saw. Could no recommend him higher. Fantastic experience
Could not recommend enough; one of the highlights of my trip. I had a night tour of Lisbon and saw a different side to the city. Rafe took excellent care of me and was very good company. Informative, interesting and friendly. A lisbon must.
We booked this on Monday the 1st of May. It was 3 of us plus 3 other so a small group. We all enjoyed it a lot as there was lots of things to see and also Learn. It was magnificent seeing Lisbon as the light changed going into sunset and then into the night. Our guide was excellent and he took care of us always making sure we were safe. We had a lot of fun and definitely recommend this to both tourists and locals. Much better than any sailing tour and you can see so much more.
This ended up being a private tour. We were fortunate that the company agreed to take us. Many would cancel the tour because it did not reach the minimum number of participants. Thank goodness these were e-bikes as Lisbon is VERY hilly. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We stopped often to have him discribe the area or the attractions we were near. He gave us numerous suggestions for non-touristy restaurants. Our 2-hour trip ended up taking the better part of 3-hours. In the end, the guide (sorry I can't spell his name) showed us how to get back to our hotel on the Metro.
Great knowledgeable guide who had lovely anecdotes but also incredible history awareness of Lisbon through the ages.
We had a wonderful guide. Xavier was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about show his city. He gave us a choice of a flat ride along the river or a more historic sites, but more hilly ride. We took the flatter ride that did go by several important sites. We learned so much.
