You'll make forever memories when you learn to line dance in the heart of Music City! Our classes are held in historic and authentic Honky Tonks right on Broadway in downtown Nashville. We offer COUNTRY line dances you can do everywhere and a unique honky tonk experience that you won't find anywhere else and immerses you into the world and culture of Country Music & line dancing entertainment! We fell in love with dancing and we want to share our love of dancing with our guests. We strive to give you the confidence to own the dance floor. We want to make you feel good and look good! Our motto is 'Fake It Til You Make It' - and our #1 goal is that you have FUN!

- Optional Gratuity can be added before or after class via credit card, app, or cash.
- Contact us in advance if an elevator is needed, we may be able to accommodate depending on Saturdays at one of our secondary venues.
- This is a physical activity - you'll be dancing for an hour. We don't impose restrictions on our guests, but we ask that you take your health and physical abilities into consideration.

My daughter and I had so much fun! Jason was fun, engaging and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
They were very energetic and welcomed everyone that had no idea how to dance!!! Jason was an absolutely amazing instructor. Very easy to follow for beginners. Definitely book with Stomping Grounds if you want the best line dancing instructors!

It was a really great experience! Jason was a very high energy and easy going instructor and made learning all the steps seamless! It’s definitely an entire hour of meeting new people and having a blast!

18th July - Instructor asked if anyone had line danced before all said no however she was very keen to show us her skills which were not basic steps, they were long sections put together and not easy to follow causing us and her assistant to get lost and step out on a couple of occasions. The reason for this review now is because we thought it’s just us maybe not getting it, however continuing our travels we did line dancing elsewhere for and this was much better the instructor worked with the groups ability, kept sections short and repetitive. By the end we all felt confident and walked away with a memorable routine, unlike the one from Stompin Ground!
We are so sorry to see your review. Our instructors at Stompin Grounds work really hard to give everyone an amazing experience. The Stompin Grounds line dance classes were created to give a true Nashville honky tonk experience with one beginner line dance lesson and one line dance lesson that is more challenging and on the intermediate level. All of our instructors and dancers also show off moves before the lessons to showcase each dance to give everyone a choice on which dances they want to learn. Each class is different. We appreciate your feedback and understand that everyone has different preferences on how they learn. We had such a wonderful time! The line dancing class was so much fun and definitely one of the highlights of our visit. The instructor made it enjoyable, and the atmosphere was lively, welcoming, and full of energy. The moonshine at the Bootlegged Bar downstairs was excellent, too! We really enjoyed trying it, and it was the perfect addition to the whole experience. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. If you're looking for something fun and different to do, I definitely recommend stopping by, enjoying some moonshine at the Bootlegger bar downstairs, and joining the line-dancing class upstairs. We had an amazing time, lots of laughs, and made some great memories. I would definitely do it again! 💃🤠🥃

We had a great time in this hour-long line dancing experience. Our dance instructor Lisa was genuinely a great teacher and dancer and assisted us all in rehearsing then performing 2 dances. Considering we were a small group in this slot, she led with a lot of energy and made the time feel fun and special. Our memento videos were sent swiftly a couple of days after the experience and my partner and I are happy to know we've tried some cool line dancing in the heart of Music City.
This was the best!! I was so nervous to line dance but the instructors were absolutely FANTASTIC! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Nashville.
