Lesedi Cultural Village

everyone is so welcoming and it was so cool to see the different tribes and cultures. carson with moafrica is such a good tour guide and takes care of his people.

I combined a visit to Lesedi Cultural Village with the Lion Park, making it a fantastic full day activity. I met Tshepo, who took care of all the logistics, including pickup and transportation. He's incredibly easy to talk to, and we shared many deep and thoughtful conversations along the way, making the drive feel like it lasted only minutes. His openness gave me the opportunity to ask more about South Africa's history, culture, and significant historical events. He spoke with great knowledge and confidence, which enriched the entire experience and gave me a much deeper understanding before arriving at Lesedi. The cultural village itself provides an excellent introduction to South Africa's diverse tribes, their traditions, and the core elements that make each culture unique. Their dances, songs, and traditional attire helped me visualize these cultures far more clearly than I could before my visit. Ending the day at the Lion Park felt like a fitting conclusion. After learning about the deep cultural and spiritual connections many communities have with nature and wildlife, seeing these magnificent animals up close added another dimension to the experience. Together, Lesedi Cultural Village and the Lion Park offer a memorable journey through both South Africa's rich cultural heritage and its remarkable wildlife.

Paul, our driver, was amazing and made the experience truly enjoyable. He was friendly and went above and beyond. Overall, it was a great experience, and we really appreciated the opportunity to learn about and experience the various tribes.

Not only did he drive us round-trip in his Toyota SUV, but he also stayed with us for our full day experience at Lesedi Cultural Village, in Gauteng Province, 90 minute drive from center city Johannesburg, South Africa. He also added in a short visit to nearby Lions & Safari Park...at no cost! We are indebted to Thomas for taking good care of us all day.

The trip was actually a transfer booked through MoAfrika from Pilanesberg National Park to Johannesburg Airport, which took approximately four hours. Our driver Carson was professional and went above and beyond to make the transfer more than just a transfer driving experience. We asked him questions and he gave us a very interesting and informative history of South Africa over the past 150 years. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and we really appreciated the effort he went to keep us entertained and informed during the trip.

The tour guide Carson is very professional, driving technology of the first class, arriving at every attraction are very timely, attitude is kind, and friendly, all the way to have fun, this trip went to discover the prehistoric caves, also to the human culture rock basket museum, to reflect the modern scientists hard work, to the cradle of humankind,

Very interesting with the portrayal of the villages of the natives, their music and dance. It takes an entire period, morning or afternoon. Not very cheap but worth it.

Very informative, well organized entertainment in Lesedi village. And our driver Khutso from MoAfrica tours was very kind in providing the additional information throughout the drive there.

Thomas, our guide through MoAfrika Tours really made this 1/2 day outing extra special! He is a superb guide, thoughtful, fun & kind! You will be lucky to have him as your guide! Seek him out! The introduction/exposure to the 5 different villages & their cultures was nicely done. The drumming & dancing was exceptional— nicely accompanied by a helpful bit of narrative. The buffet lunch was delicious & a nice way to sample more of the various South African area specialties.

I loved my tour with my guide Khutso. He was extremely knowledgable of South Africa. He was pointing out all the important landmarks on the drive. He made me feel comfortable. During the village tour he offered me water. He was amazing!
